I'm having difficulty with all this. So Trump, according to Wolff (a) Did not want to be President, yet he (b) conspired with Russia to win the election.?

Don't introduce rationality - it befuddles some on this forum who cherry pick what they want to believe

A narcissist would not bend down in service to a 4 yr old and allow him (the 4 yr old) to touch his hair.

Narcissists don't serve anyone but themselves, ever. Period.

No way I will ever believe that Obama was a narcissist in the way that Trump is a narcissist. Obama may have had a healthy self esteem, but he could think in terms of other people's perspectives (outside of his own experience). Trump will never have that ability. It is really a missing piece of his personality. Scary.

Is this the latest diagnostic tool to detect narcissism?

David Cameron’s former director of strategy has said Cameron thought Barack Obama was one of the “most narcissistic, self-absorbed people” he had ever encountered, despite the pair’s once notorious “bromance”.

Steve Hilton, one of Cameron’s closest advisers before the pair fell out over immigration and Brexit last year, made the comments during the latest instalment of his show, The Next Revolution, on Fox News.

He went on to emphasise the shortcomings of Trump’s predecessors, adding: “My old boss, former British prime minister David Cameron, thought Obama was one of the most narcissistic, self-absorbed people he’d ever dealt with.

“Obama never listened to anyone, always thought he was smarter than every expert in the room, and treated every meeting as an opportunity to lecture everyone else. This led to real-world disasters, like Syria and the rise of Isis.”

Trump proclaims himself to be a genius ........ Obama does not say it but based on Cameron's observation, he thinks he is a genius and others are not at par with him intellectually.

If anyone wants to understand why liberals go nuts when commenting on Trump, this excerpt offers insight:

"The last scenes of The Final Year show the heartache among Obama advisers on election night.

Thinking that Hillary Clinton would win, (Samantha) Power invited some women, including Gloria Steinem and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, to watch with her in the West Wing.

Steinem says: 'I didn't think it would be this bad.'

Power can be seen sitting with her head in her hands, crying.

In an offhand remark she says: 'To think of them in control of the Senate, the House and the Presidency…'

Rhodes is shown sitting alone in the darkness and is so shell-shocked he cannot even speak when asked how he feels."

Like Rhodes, liberals are still shell-shocked at the outcome of the election and that shock manifests itself in vitriol like I have rarely seen.

You do know, old boy, that Etonians (along with most of England) do not use the word "fart" to describe expelled bowel gas. Rather they use the more genteel, "trump." Make of that what you will.

Obama may have been a narcissist...

But Trump turned the narcissism dial up to 11 and then broke it off.

Yes, but would Cameron ever invite Obama to his pile of bricks in lilly white Cornwall?

So the guy who fell out with his boss over immigration and Brexit is now commenting in the media about what his former boss thought of the American POTUS who was basically the anti-Trump. Okay, that's a reliable source.

FWIW, my (limited but not non-existent) experience with Obama is that he listened keenly to experts with differing ideas than his. I think he's more aloof than some American politicians, but "unwilling to hear out all sides and then form opinions" in no way describes him IME.

And Obama had the guts to take questions from the press.

Narcissism is a clinical term. I don't have any trouble believing Obama was conceited or arrogant. But he is not a narcissist. Trump is a narcissist and Cameron needs to be more precise with his word choice.
