It is an election issue to the extent that Democrats are blaming Russian hacking for Hillary losing the election. Trump's nominees will get confirmed courtesy of Harry Reid who used the nuclear option to eliminate the filibuster! So Reid is there ranting about everything under the sun about Trump and the FBI and Comey and the Russians and he does not realize that he is yesterday's news.

There will be an investigation to determine why Trump's top aides (Flynn, Mannafort, and Phillips) had contact with senior Russian officials though out the summer and exactly how much money and to whom in Russia Trump owes money.

Of course, he could just release his tax returns, that would save some time.

I encourage investigation of any improprieties and if anyone broke the law, he/she should be prosecuted. But I can assure you that if they are cleared Democrats will be claiming that it was a fix!

You forget the only other options was Hillary. I think the electorate does care (not the 30% or so super-Trumpers, but the rest).
Winning against Hillary is really not such a badge of honor or sign of success.

Now, this I agree with but the Democrats nominated Hillary and really screwed themselves in the process ....... and that is the main reason they lost against Trump. Not the Russian hacking ....... it was plain and simple because you nominated a totally flawed candidate who had no message.

So own it and try and have a winning message, agenda and candidate in 2020.

This is not an election issue, it is a governance issue. I'm really not ok with Trump being president if there is proof of collaboration between his campaign and Putin. Are you?

It is an election issue to the extent that Democrats are blaming Russian hacking for Hillary losing the election. Do you realize that Democrats blame anything and everything from hacking to Comey to media bias to fake news to white nationalists to "deplorables" and on an on ...... what they will not blame is that they had a totally messed up candidate who got the nomination because the DNC rigged the primaries and thereby eliminated any viable competition.

If there is incontrovertible proof that Trump colluded with the Russians, yes that would be a serious issue. But all we have at the moment is idle speculation about any such connection and even the issue of Russian hacking and the motivation for the hacking is something that the CIA and FBI disagree on.

Which is why there is an ongoing full scale investigation that will be completed in the next few weeks, with more on the horizon . The facts aren't going to reveal themselves.

Ah, but only 46% of the electorate voted for him. The 48% that voted for Clinton and the 6% that voted other candidates do care.

He won the presidency despite not releasing his tax returns - so for those who voted for him the failure to release his tax returns was not a deal breaker. Yes, Hillary won the popular vote but that is not the mechanism for awarding the presidency. If you don't like it then work to change the constitution.

So you agree that the majority of voters (i.e. those who voted for Hillary) do care about his tax returns and conflicts of interest.
