If it was a hookup, there is either a rush, or no rush at all. One extreme or the other. |
Since you both discussed things you wanted to do to each other in a sexual manner, it is obvious that this guy sees you more as "hook-up" material rather than girlfriend material.
He could have hooked-up w/someone after you parted ways or perhaps he is waiting until he gets frisky to contact you! |
Or "Netflix and chill?" |

sloots? |
Hi OP, please ignore all the loser men on here who try to shame a woman who has a dating and sex life.
Your night with him sounds awesome. I remember my single days and the instant chemistry and flirty banter. I miss them. He sounds like and attractive, charming guy with a lot of game. Guys like this run the dating world. Not to say he wasn't genuinely interested in you, he probably was. He may also be dating someone, or several someones. When I was dating, I generally waited until Monday if I met a girl on the weekend. It's soon enough but not desperate seeming. I think he texts you today around lunch break or you probably won't hear from him. If you have his number, feel free to send him a short text, bringing up some funny comment he made when you met. If he doesn't respond enthusiastically, then just savor the fantasy. |
I think women can experience that raw sexual attraction and attribute some of that to an emotional/mental connection whereas men are focused primarily on their d***s. So this guy wanted to hook up immediately and won't necessarily pursue this until he is in a position to hook up again. He's not necessarily looking for a date, despite wooing you by talking about his sister.
Are you looking for a purely sexual connection, OP? If so, and and you have his number you can give him a call. Do you know enough about him full name, workplace) to find him? You can do that and then send him a suggestive text. |
Just to add - kudos to you for not ditching your friends, or putting them in a position to drive drunk. I hope this works out for you. |
Nooooooo.....don't contact him. Move on and make plans for next weekend. Learn from this. When you are out with your friends keep it light. You meet a guy, chat but don't spend your night planning your future. If this guy was interested at all he would have at least texted you something to engage you. You sound like a confident woman. Let go of this guy and look forward to the next. |
OP - I think it's possible he was looking for a hookup and isn't interested in dating. So he may not call. I've had guys seem very interested, and when I shot them down for the hookup, I didn't get the call asking me out. One of them still texts every time he is about to come in town, but then never follows up.
If he's interested in a hookup, you might hear from him Friday before he heads out drinking. Then it's your call on what to do. If he's interested in dating you, you'll hear from him by Wednesday, I think. Good luck, either way! |
Reread. We were speculating at what type of text OP might receive from the guy, not making suggestions as to what she should text him. |
OP here. Thank you for this nice response. I did send him a simple message today with some humor but didn't need hear anything back so, yes, will just savor the fantasy as you put it. I'm glad I didn't just wait passively and wonder what was going on, highly recommend since I feel better that I was a little forward and contacted him to put it to rest. To the posters who suggested he may reply next weekend, yes, I will have to see what I want to do if that happens. I'm not looking for a relationship per se so who knows. Thank you everyone for the kind responses. |
that is NEVER a problem. every man wants it whether easy or not. it has to do with was he attracted to you. Being easy is never a negative. |
OP here. That's the other odd thing to me. He told me EVERYTHING: building he lived in, what floor, where he works and what division, his college, the past 3 places he has lived, his major and sport in college, his last name, his sisters and parents names. Literally the easiest Google search of my life ![]() Kinda odd for someone who never wants to see or hear from me again. I sent him a message on Messenger and....crickets. Oh well! |
