There are no Ivy athletic scholarships, but there is a different academic bar for admitted athletes.

The story is interesting. Don't know how believable it is but interesting that people accept the girl's story as the truth and his as fabricated when it appears that they were both completely drunk and probably don't have clear memories of events.

Yes. His story has been covered extensively in the swimming news, because he was a likely member of the team this summer.

Wow, didn't realize that. We shouldnt be using the same word, rape, for 2 very different situations.

That letter and the one from his father are just so disgusting. The way he makes himself an innocent victim, who never took a drink before in his life. And how this has 'ruined' his life !!!
He was found raping an unconcious girl with "objects" (not his penis, but also with his penis) by two bystanders on the ground next to a dumpster ... (She must have chosen that dumpster just for its romantic location)

The judge knew about his pre-college drug use though Turner said he had never imbibed.

Also, FYI, Turner can never again step foot on Stanford property for any reason. He also withdrew instead of expulsion.
