Would you care to look at actual statistics? |
This is not a pissing match of what group perpetrates a heinous, violent act like rape. No group is without rapists or its casualties whether you like it or not. http://www.mochimag.com/article/sexual-assault-asian-american-community-statistics-facts-prevalence |
As I suspected, you have no idea what you are talking about. Actual data here: https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2012/crime-in-the-u.s.-2012/tables/43tabledatadecoverviewpdf For those in a hurry: while blacks amount to 4X the number of Asians in the US, they commit 40 times as many rapes. Again, let's make universities places of learning. Not of rape, or BS. You are welcome. |
|
^^^You are in this pissing match alone. It was a matter of time before you interjected African-Americans into this conversation in your poor attempt to make Stanford boy an exception to the rule.
Obvious attempt to make rape about race. You are pitiful. You are welcome. |
It's just ridiculous. The believe this poster, a full third to half of the globe is basically rape free. Except we have not been reduced to the need to have women only buses and rail cars in this country as is now necessary in a number of Asian countries. The truth is that everyone rapes, everywhere. Even the FBI statistics presented confirm it. Asians also rape. |
Isn't that what 22:46 said? |

Nice to trash talk but there is a certain white female Olympian who will attend Stanford the Fall who is spectacular academically and just all around as a person as well. All is not lost. |
| Stanford has a culture of rape. |

ABC news is reporting photos, text messages, and court records that show Turner had a previous history of drug use (photos of him hitting the bong and the pipe AND a video of him smoking then drinking).
One week before he raped Emily Doe, he was at another frat party intruding on another girl. I wonder if Stanford drug test their athletes? How this vile person got into Stanford is beyond me. |

Here's a 'breaking news' article all over the news this morning.

Stanford grad here. I don't find this particularly surprising. The fraternity and sorority types were the kids you knew were usually in the bottom half of the class (although the grade inflation you have at top colleges compressed the overall grade range very nicely to their benefit). Let's just say they didn't exactly rock your world intellectually. Add to that an athlete's creds and you're scraping the bottom of the academic barrel.
|
No, frats and sororities promote a culture of rape. |
Stanford is not alone in this regard. Harvard and Brown are also high on the list of reported rape. And their rapists have that 'wholesome' look of Brock Turner, post-booking photo, tie and suit. |
| My understanding is that Stanford, more so than the ivies or other top school like MIT, are more into one particular passion/talent to the exclusion of academics. For example, an amazing athlete is more likely to be able to get into Stanford when they could never get into Harvard if they had sub-par academics. I think at the ivies, you have to assume that even athletes or others with special talents are still top students. Not so at Stanford. |
