How tall are you?

5'7"

feel average but realize it's above average. Isn't the average woman in america 5'4"?

6'2" female. Had those awkward teen years where I towered over the boys at school, but truly don't think about my height unless someone brings it up to me (which they do pretty often).

My dad is tall and my mom is really short. She raised me to stand up straight and be proud of my height and secure in my body.

Dated some tall guys and they were always self concious when I wore heels. It drove me crazy! So I married a great guy who happens to be 3 years shorter than me but loves me for who I am.

I think we all do the best we can with what we're given in life. Enjoy what you have OP! I think you're perfect just as you are.

Inches, not years shorter!

5" 1.5" I always claim 5"2" it's okay to round up. If I was only 2 inches taller I could rule the world. On the plus side I have a wide option of men to date. I refuse to date anyone my height or shorter.

Yeah, I'm 5'8" (woman, also), and I consider myself right between average and tall. I always wanted to be 5'9, which I consider true tall for a woman.

5'1" Female
Obviously I'm petite, but I love it. It's a part of my personality.

All of you women who feel that 5'8 is average- no. Average ism ore like 5'4 or 5'5.

5'0" and getting shorter. Definitely short. I wish I was a couple inches taller because I have to hem things a lot and it can be hard to find pants.

Feel to be average in height. At work many women are shorter than me and many are taller. Married a tall man and both of my children are going to pass me by the time they are in six and seventh grade I am glad for them as like you, 0P, I wish i was taller. I always wanted to be somewhere between 5'6 to 5'8 which I feel are the perfect height. Sorry if there are any grammarical errors I am on my phone

OP here, it is nice to hear I am not alone in wishing I was taller. As mentioned, in the past my female friends were very tall, but here many are shorter than me and I made a mistake of saying that I am short a couple of times and got criticized for it.

OP are you a man? Women don't really care about their height. Petite isn't a bad thing. A 5'4 man would be very small, but that's pretty average for a woman.

I'm 5'3", of Korean descent. I never felt short until I was an adult and someone at work made a comment about my height (and the similar heights of my co-workers). Then I realized that people think of me as short.

My husband (Scottish, Irish, and Native American ancestry) is 6'1". I think he realizes that objectively I'm short, but I don't seem it to him as his mom is 4'11".

I wish I were a few inches taller. It'd be nice to not have to hem pants that are already "short" or "ankle" length.

No, I am a woman. Obviously it bothers me, I do think of myself as short. I wish I didn't but there you go. I am not unhappy about myself, it is just that recently here, my short female friends are commenting how I am tall and as I mentioned, being all weird when I mention that I consider myself short.

5' 7.5". Irish. Consider myself on the average to tall side.

(I was the smallest and youngest in my class at a small school from Age 4 through Age 15. I then had a big growth spurt and was among the tallest girls. I actually did not mind at all when I was the smallest. I was scrappy and very athletic so I guess that helped me.)

I'm 5'0 on the dot. Yes, of course I'm short. The only time I receive comments is if I suddenly wear flats to work. When I wear heals, adding 2-3 inches, no one bats an eye.

I love being short, but I do feel bad for my sons. They are still growing at 12 & 14, but will be very short men.

I'm 5'6". I consider myself very average. I'm white. I feel very short around my husband's family though as they are all (women included) 6' or taller.
