In Sweden there has been this ambition explicitly to record every case of sexual violence separately, to make it visible in the statistics. So, for instance, when a woman tells police that my husband raped me almost every day during the last year, the police have to record each of these events, which might be more than 300 events separately. In many other countries it would just be one record - one victim, one type of crime, one record.

The statistics of reported rapes has been going up in Sweden - it's almost trebled in just the last seven years. In 2003, about 2,200 offences were reported by the police, compared to nearly 6,000 in 2010.

Statistics don't represent a major crime epidemic, rather a shift in how rapes are reported.

Most committed in Norway are committed by Norwegian citizens and three quarters are European citizens. The police study states it on page 52.

You are linking to a very Islamophobic site. As such, you should probably go out of your way to ensure that the information provided is accurate. The allegation you made about rapes in Norway actually is in regard to rapes in Oslo, not the entire country. Moreover, even with regard to Oslo, the data as presented is extremely misleading if not outright false. Please bear with me as I walk you through this:

The distortions involved in these allegations are very well-documented. Here are translated portions of the original Norwegian report that forms the basis of the charges:

The majority of registered perpetrators in cases of reported rape in Oslo in 2010 have Norwegian citizenship, as has been the case in every previous rape study. A relatively high proportion, 12.5%, of the registered perpetrators are from other parts of Europe, and taken together almost three quarters of the perpetrators in 2010 have European citizenship. For the rest, 10.5% are from Africa, 9.2% from the Middle East, 4.6% from Asia and 2% from America.

The report goes on to provide some caveats about the with Norwegian citizenship (not all were native Norwegians), but the bottom line is that the allegation about all rapes being committed by non-Westerners is false.

All of this discussion involves years old statistics and is not really relevant to today. I only bring it up to correct the record which was very misstated.
