I don't think any liberals have any problem believing that refugees have varying degrees of success in assimilating. And anyone with a passing knowledge about countries where immigrants have had difficulty assimilating knows this is a problem. The problem is in trying to discuss it. There's always some moron who just thinks all Muslims are both monolithic and resistant to assimilation, but of course they say it a lot dumber. There are a lot of immigrants that have trouble fitting in; I'm from the Twin Cities and the differing fates of the Hmong vs. the Somalian populations are an interesting tale. We need to discuss it, but it would be easier if RWNJ didn't arrive early and often to share their particular brand of open-mindedness.[/quote]
