Insanity in Germany

At this point I don't really believe anything reported on this forum that doesn't come from a legitimate news source. This is obviously crazy, and I think if anyone believes it, it speaks to Germany and Europe's very real problems in assimilating Muslim immigrants. This IS a problem, no matter how much we liberals would not like to believe so.

P.S. Anything Germans can do to be sensitive to refugees is a good thing. Maybe you're ignorant of history, but the German people are not, and they are rightfully ashamed of the way they treated marginalized peoples in the past.

so the germans should start wearing the hijab to keep from getting raped. I don't give a shit what the germans did in the past the ones suffering now had nothing to do with it.

Exactly! Any refugee who fails their Western cultural training class needs to be sent home. Period.

Agree. The refugees need to assimilate and be grateful to be welcomed. They don't need to give up their beliefs, not what I'm saying, but should respect the surrounding Christian culture.

Sending the message to the kids that the refugees are different from the rest of us - they are criminals that we need to be afraid of. How is that being sensitive to refugees?

Girls shouldn't wear skirts...just wow. That is insane.

Well, I'll confirm that this is what the article states. But it seems like it is a single Gymnasium (school) which is next to a shelter, not a national or even regional policy. Still eff'd up, but a little different in scope.

Lots of fake information and straw men in this post.

I hope you are all proud of yourself for thinking so poorly of your fellow man. Hope you're not Christian, because I guarantee people who feed the fires of hate against these refugees are going to hell with souls permanently stained with hatred and evil.

What has become abundantly evident to me as conditions deteriorate across the world.

Liberals love to taut the line that the “US cannot be the world’s policeman.” No, we can’t have boots on the ground. And, no we should not get involved in other nations’ affairs.
EXCEPT when it comes to refugees. Then, we absolutely need to become the world’s policeman.
Such hypocrites.

Being sensitive is not the same thing (or even close) as telling women to not wear revealing clothes.

Telling not to wear revealing clothing is common sense in most contexts. Why would a woman deliberately wear revealing clothing? Weird.

A miniskirt is perfectly acceptable, and has been the fashion in Europe for a while. Have you been to H&M lately?

No matter what a woman wears, it is not an invitation for rape or molestation. To say anything else is just wrong and victim blaming.

Yes, because it is TOTALLY the same thing.

Sometimes I wonder how some of you manage to navigate life.

She told me last night that my niece and nephew have a new subject in school called sicherheit stunde (safety hour) where the kids are taught how to behave when around refugees. The girls are also taught what to wear. They are discouraged from wearing skirts and dresses as this might lead to unwanted attention from the refugees. I find this totally insane. Why can't the refugees be taught how to behave.

What next? Will German girls have to dress in burquas?

"They should respect the surrounding Christian culture."

Hmm, I thought America was, at least, about freedom of religion. Not Christian culture.

Last I heard, Germany was not in America.

I believe it but I wouldn't have if I hadn't heard what the mayor of Cologne had said after the attacks and also if I hadn't heard about Sweden and Germany covering up the sexual attacks. Apparently there were numerous attacks over the Summer in Sweden and they kept it quiet. Many of the Middle Eastern countries are anti-women and have laws based on their religion that women must wear hijab, must sit behind a curtain at funerals, can't drive, etc... Separate AND unequal. When it comes to Western women - forget it - they are deemed as "loose" and therefore they seem to think it is okay to rape and sexually assault them. The Persians that came 30 years ago assimilated quickly and effortlessly and I have many friends that are Persian and they left this culture purposely because they opposed it. I fear we won't be able to assimilate the migrants and refugees though.
