Yes two. Can imagine how they feel right now.

Probably embarrassed. And sad that their gravy train may die.

But he's in a very privileged position, with so much money and so many resources that very few have. With those things easily at his disposal, it doesn't sound like he actually wants to be better.

Are you the same poster from the Scott Disket thread? Yes, money can assist in getting help, but obviously it's not the case.

No, I'm not that poster.

Step 1 in addiction is wanting to be better. It's extremely difficult of course, but without the 'want,' then anything else is completely futile. If Lamar (or any other wealthy, connected addict) really wanted change, they could easily have a team, network, and system in place to ensure their recovery. He has infinite resources at his disposal. Very clearly, Lamar does not want something different.

Stop with this AA BS.

I've worked with addicts for years. This is not always true. Plenty of programs work without 12 stepping your way to recovery.

Forget AA. If you don't actually desire to get clean, nothing else can happen. You can't force another sovereign adult to get sober.

Many people continue to be addicts despite wanting to get better, but it's because they don't have the resources or the support. Lamar has everything he could want or need within reach. Many addicts really do prefer that life

Yea, very likely. But it's hard to feel embarrassed for a parent. I've been through this before with my father. I hope they mother is by their side and it being supportive and understanding.

Some of you people are so clueless. Addiction is a very, very powerful disease. You don't just "decide" to get clean or continue to use. Some people get themselves together, and many people can't beat it. It is an illness, not a lifestyle choice.

Who? And why does this merit a multipage discussion here?

Google? Would take less time than posting here.

Pro basketball player, Khloe Kardashians ex husband.

Thanks for answering the first question, but you didn't answer the second.

Because he is known in pop culture? Obviously?

And many want to get clean have the resources but can't... why? if we knew that answer we could take it to the bank.

But there are people that want to get clean but they can't, they try and try and try, but can't.

The people who "get themselves together" don't just wake up one morning magically cured. They put in the work and do whatever it takes to stay clean. So, yes, they do actually decide every day, every hour, every minute to stay clean until one day down the road the temptation becomes more manageable for them.

This guy has(had?) lots to live for - beautiful young kids - and he opted to go to the Bunny Ranch instead of rehab. Yeah, he was human and made a foolish choice that has probably ended his life and rendered his children fatherless.

Heartbreaking to hear his personal story

Hope he makes a complete recovery and get past his addiction. I dislike the Kardashian clan but Khloe was right for him. She fought to make him give up his addiction. Hope they get back together.

To the people asking, yes, they are divorced:

A long time coming. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom finally filed their signed divorce papers last week.

The reality stars took the final step in effectively ending their marriage nearly two years after they first separated. Sources confirm to Us Weekly that Kardashian, 31, and the NBA player, 35, signed the papers together earlier this month.

"They saw each other when she was in Vegas and both signed the divorce documents together," an insider tells Us. Kardashian first filed for divorce in December 2013, and has since moved on in her romantic life.

Does anyone know exactly what that means?
Does it mean he would have started breathing again on his own? Or that artificial means began his heart pumping again?

Sorry to be graphic, but I am always curious what 'stabilizing' means.

I'm no doctor, but the word "stabilize" probably varies from patient to patient and condition to condition.

He was found unconscious with some sort of "mucous type liquid" coming out of his nose and mouth. So he may have been vomiting and in convulsions at some point. The medics/doctors got that "stopped" (i.e., stable), but it doesn't mean he is well or even going to survive.

Many years ago, I knew someone who was struck by lightning. Even though 911 was called, no one could get through, so a neighbor ended up driving him to the hospital. He was lying in the back of the van quite ill. After he got to the hospital, the docs got him "stable" and they were hopeful, but the strike was too much for his body and he died a couple of days later.

A person who actually has their shit together and is fulfilled would run AWAY from this situation^^^, not towards it. its not Khloe's job to fight to make me him give up his addiction. He is an adult, with a lot of money and a lot at his disposal. There are many people who come from shittier circumstances than Odom, and have no money yet they still pull themselves out of their hellholes and make a nice life for themselves.

I don't have one ounce of sympathy for him. And K is stupid for running to his side. Enabling, enabler is all she is.

I don't get it, but the brothel in question wasn't the Bunny Ranch as stated in the thread title. It was the Love Ranch owned by Dennis Hof who was on HBO's Cathouse.
