Catherine Hoggle was in court this week. They still, 5 years later, have not found her mentally competent to stand trial. The defense asked for more time to see if a new drug would work for her, and the judge set the next hearing for Feb. 2020. It's all in this article.

Those poor children and their father. I hope there is closure at some point. |
|
I’m listening to the podcast Missing Pieces, these poor children.
How would they not have found the children by now? |
Because they are dead. |
| But located the bodies or bones? Her access to vehicles etc seemed quite limited. How far could she have really gone to dispose of them? |
This is morbid. I’m sorry. But if she had put them in any commercial dumpster, the bodies would be long gone and untraceable. Montgomery County doesn’t have a dump. It uses an incinerator. |
This is the concerning part (taken from the Fox5 article above)-
If they don't find her competent, she will be released. She has an older child (full sibling to the missing kids), who is living with the father Troy Turner. I hope Catherine never gets access to the third child. |
I always wonder why people think it would be difficult to dispose of a small body so that it probably won’t be found. Think of the tons of trash that are hauled off daily. No one is inspecting those trash bags. Dumpsters are easy to come by. |
if you think no one is inspecting the bags, you must not live in an area with a lot of homeless people. In my area, homeless meth heads dig through trash and make a terrible mess. |
We don't have that problem upcounty. Thanks. |
| Would there not be surveillance by buildings or dumpsters in that area? Capturing the car at some point |
There is a ton of video fo her all over the county that day. Go back and find an article that describes her steps that day. |
Yeah, most of us don’t live in areas with lots of homeless people who dig through trash. |
If she leads police to the bodies, she is incriminating herself. The judge doesn't believe she is competent enough to be making an informed decision about doing so. |
The kids did not disappear at the same time. First Jacob was "dropped off at a play date". Later that evening or early the next morning, Sarah was "taken to a new daycare". The oldest child first noticed them missing the next morning. It's unclear if the kids are together, in one location, or in two different locations.
