| Last article I can find online is from Oct. 4. |
| No. I follow Montgomery County Police on facebook, and they regularly post updates when there is anything new. Nothing for weeks. |
| I live in the neighborhood and have been scouring for any info I can find. Last week there was a report that Catherine Hoggle called the childrens' father. She repeated the same information--that the children are safe and with someone. Nothing new to report, unfortunately. I have noticed almost no recent police searches here so I'm wondering if they have a different area of interest. |
Probably not. Most likely they've been unable to locate the bodies at the most probable dump sites and don't have the manpower to continue searching. Sadly, these kids are most likely dead and their remains may eventually turn up accidentally. I feel sorry for the father and extended family b/c even though they probably know in their hearts that the kids are dead, they would at least have some closure. |

She's claiming she can lead the police to them,
http://www.wjla.com/articles/2014/11/breaking-news-catherine-hoggle-in-court-claims-her-missing-kids-alive-offers-to-take-police-to-them-.html |
| Wouldn't the police have checked with any adults close enough to her to leave the kids with for all this time? Or are they really dead and she is just this nuts? |
|
A judge said she isn't competent and refused to sign the order.
http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Catherine-Hoggle-Willing-to-Show-Police-Where-Missing-Children-Are-Says-Theyre-Still-Alive-281807871.html It also said she's schizophrenic. |
Police said at that press conference a month ago or so that she gave several names of people she gave the kids to and they checked them all out. Some of them were logistically impossible for her to have seen. |
| I have to wonder if she "hid" them really well somewhere and they were alive when she left... in some fantasy world in her head they are still alive but in fact they probably died after a couple days alone... |

Wow, John McCarthy himself was in court asking for her temporary release to lead the police to the kids.

| Wait, what? The judge won't let her go with police? What harm could possibly come to her or others? How can he refuse a chance to find these kids??? |
|
I find this whole damn story so disturbing; sorry I even read this thread. Those poor kids!
I don't blame a sick mother for being profoundly mentally ill. I blame the family and friends around her for knowing how sick she is and being in denial about her danger to her kids. Those kids are paying the price for a families' collective denial. |
He said he's worried she may incriminate herself. But I'm not sure how to balance that against the need to find the children....unless they are all pretty certain the kids are dead.
