It's not her breastfeeding. Its her smugness regarding breastfeeding (see quote above) as well as telling everyone how her home birth "didn't hurt in the slightest".
Bitch please. I'm skinny and eat the crappiest food but am blessed with good genes and awesome metabolism. I don't go around telling everyone else how easy it is to be skinny and there should be laws about people being fat because it's not hard to lose weight. That would make me an asshole. |
| She has man hands. |

Didn't see the picture.I also didn't breastfeed-no milk whatsoever, dry like Sahara desert.
If my husband had mentioned anything, I would've kicked his ass. |

I am all for BF promotion because we still have some seriously ignorant women out there (my SIL being one of them), who get all horrified at the prospect of a baby on a boob. My SIL seriously thinks that the "cool kids feed formula," her boobs are only for men to play with, and only third-world women with no teeth breastfeed. She doesn't read much. Anyway, the point is that there are very legitimate reasons for formula feeding, but then, since my SIL is a label-whore in the worst way, having Gisele, Kate Middleton, and whomever else celebrate BF'ing would encourage women like my SIL to breastfeed, and I'm for that. The campaign has to go to the far outer reaches of motherhood.
FYI, I BF'd my first for 6 months, and my second I started supplementing at 2 months, so I understand all the reasons women face in trying to BF exclusively. That being said, I'm also noticing that some men are really getting into breastfeeding. I have male colleagues who ask me very detailed questions about me BF'ing and then tell me their wives' experiences in minute detail. I mean, the questions and comments are all very legitimate, and it's clear the men are very knowledgeable about BFing, and I do think it's cute and a good sign of the times, but it also weirds me out a bit, I have to say. |
| I would love to see a series of professional staged photos depicting "normal"working mothers breast feeding their child. Have one of a woman sitting at her desk answering a phone, typing on a computer while have her three coworkers bringing her more work while she breast feeds. That would just a sight but alas people would bitch about that too. |
| I wonder how her three co-workers felt about it. Hey Mark, can you hand me that stapler? Yeah that's my boob. |
+1 |
A series of pics of how most women "multitask" would be awesome. In mine I'd be surfing DCUM and checking email while pumping at my desk. |
Snort. She's fully glamored-up in that photograph where she's supposedly getting glamored-up. |
She really said that? I guess she doesn't think things through much. |

Which include personal preference for the mother, BTW. |
So getting hair and nails done is now considered work. Interesting. |
