I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but that's where I am so far. I'm spending today planning. Yes, I am feeding the masses. And yes, we are from the deep south. If I change any of the standards, there will be mutiny in this house.

Love the relish tray and cornbread dressing. Pure nostalgia for Thanksgiving dinners in West Virginia in the 70's.

Wow! How far down in the "deep south?"

Tupelo, Mississippi. About as deep south as it gets.

Tell me you are not cooking all this yourself.

I am. But not all at once. I've already got the casseroles made and frozen. If I waited until the last minute, I would go crazy!

What is pink fluff?

I have no idea what it's really called. It's similar to this -

From Maryland, cabernet franc blanc and rose. And Cherry Glen Farms Monacacy Ash.
From Virginia, viognier and petit verdot. And a wedge of Grayson.
From Vermont, Whistlepig Rye.

That's what I'm bringing. What they're cooking and serving is up to them.

It seems like a version of ambrosia salad. Here is one that I am familiar with: http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2012/05/30/ambrosia-salad-recipe/

I feel for you. I spent far too many Thanksgivings at ILs being served canned yams with marshmallow on top, stuffing made from a box, canned green beans, and canned cranberry sauce. And pie from Safeway. Sometimes I would make my own Thanksgiving meal the Sunday before.

Hope the company at least is good!
