How many pizzas to order for a birthday party with 15 kids and whatever parents tag along?

I think I'll do a combo of pizza and more grown-up finger sandwiches, because I know at least two kids don't like pizza. There will be a variety for everyone to choose from. And fruit kebabs. Hope that's good enough for a mid afternoon party.

That sounds good to me

Why not ask for party "cut"?

They slice the pizza into squares, so people can just snack away.

I've never heard of "party cut"/square cut, other than at Ledos which is how they slice every pizza. Interesting. OP, I think your plan sounds good.

That should be plenty, especially if you double cut them. Most of the moms won't eat two pieces.

this is right. I ordered 10 pizzas for a party with 25 kids (so probably 50 people total) and ended up with 3 leftover pizzas. You will be fine with 6.

I guarantee that no more than 4 will be eaten. Not to say you shouldn't buy more just in case.

We just did 5 for 25 people kids and adults and had one slice left.

Yikes, sounds like you should have ordered more.

What time of day is the party? That will affect whether the adults eat any of the food or not. If your party is at 3:00, for example, fewer parents will have a slice of pizza than if your party is at 12:30.

The ratio I always go by is 1 large pizza for 5 people, if you're having other food at the party. You want to have extra in case someone wants a 3rd slice.

I think the children are all in college now

Sounds good to me too. We've had duccinis cut large pizzas into squares for our super bowl parties. It's great if you're having lots of other food.

Was going to suggest a tray of sandwiches from Costco for parents.

How many of these people who don't want to feed parents also think it's boorish to not send thank you notes?
