1) Oh I'm sorry, is Bloomberg a federal elected official? No? Okay, STFU then, or don't live in NYC. Problem solved.
2) By force? Did the military show up at your door and threaten you with death? Were you beaten? No? Then STFU. Nearly everyone pays taxes in one form or another. Don't like it? MOVE out of the US. We won't miss you.
3) Again, this is a state initiative. Don't like it? Don't live in CA. Problem solved, STFU.
4) There's good evidence that private lobbyists from the traditional car manufacturers and the oil industry killed the electric car in the 70's, so we'll never know how it would have done in the market over the past 40 years. Time will tell how it does this time. Again, you stupid ass, STFU.

YOU are the moron who hasn't done the research. This is a democracy. Citizens are free to support any initiative or candidate they want and any policy initiatives they want. If someone espouses policy positions you don't like, you don't vote for them. Freedom is not freedom from all government - that is ANARCHY, retard. Want to live in anarchy? I suggest you move to some banana republic somewhere and see how you like it.

Why can't liberals hold a conversation without resorting to insults? Shows a bit of mental instability....Anyway....

1) So if noone is telling YOU what to eat (hello, Michelle Obama?), then it's not happening? Do you agree that throwing away food because you don't know the fat/salt/fiber content is better than giving it to the homeless? And didn't Obama speak of this very thing when he was throwing ObamaCare around?

2) By force, meaning if you don't pay, you go to jail or have liens placed on your possessions. In addition, you are guilty until proven innocent

3) These initiatives have been proposed in many states. The fact they are being proposed AT ALL should give you pause. That it doesn't?

4) Let's look at Tyson's corner as an example of poor green planning. Four new metro stations, no parking. When will the infrastructure be completed to support their green plan? 10-20 YEARS. Same thing with the electric car industry. Can't plug in but a few places. Wind power? Killing birds and 'not in my backyard'. Ad nauseum.

We do not live in a democracy, we live in a democratic republic. A conservative is not for no government. The Feds are limited by the Constitution. Anything not outlined in the Constitution falls to the states for exactly the reason you stated - one can move from state-to-state. So if Cali controls your power, move to Texas, etc. However, when Obama pushes for smart meters and smart grids, one has to wonder why and what Constitutional jurisdiction he has to spend our tax money on the research of such. It's our job as the general public to research and ask questions. You don't like it? Sorry.

Actually the stock market took a huge jump, the ADP report on unemployment beat expectations, and both housing and auto sectors look strong. It's like the entire economy just gave a thumbs up to the Dems for crushing the tea party.

Uh, one of those "huge losers" was an investment in development of shale oil and gas. That is now our best prospect for energy independence. And because of that early investment, we are ahead of the rest of the world on it.

Hiring surged behind a jump in construction jobs that were added in part to help rebuild from Superstorm Sandy.

And now come the excuses. Sigh. Only 39,000 of the jobs were in construction, Sandy and non-Sandy.

So what else is wrong with the current good news?

And you just know that if Mitt Romney had won this would all be a sign of the triumph of the Republican party and how everyone is finally confident again with the Democrat out of office.

Yes, every time some department store added a cashier, we would hear about how it's because we have a "pro-business" president.

What happened to all those sore losers who swore they would lay off their staff if Obama was elected? Not holding my breath on that one, but it would serve them right if some top talent heard that and refreshed their resumes.

This has been happening all over America it mainly surrounds ObamaCare. If a law is well-written, it should not require waivers. When any elected official tells you you have to sign something before you get to know what's in it - HUGE red flag. I'm wondering how many liberals would feel if a police officer told them to do the same?

450k is rich nationally so adjust for COL in the DC area and it's higher than that, i think the rich in the DC area are 500-600k and higher. Which is barely rich.

Carter spent a ton of money subsidizing research into extracting oil and gas from shale. How did that work out? Oh yeah, it's our biggest win in energy in decades.

Exactly. What else is the government not going to qualify for you? You're being told what to eat, how much it's 'politically correct' to earn. Some states have advocated for putting devices on your house that allows the government to adjust your heat and A/C. You are being told what cars to drive and how much gas you can use. And lots of you think this is fine. Because you don't realize you are losing your freedom, bit by bit.

You running out of foil over there, lovebug?

So far as I can tell, no government is telling me what to eat.
Taxes have nothing to do with "political correctness" -- it's revenue.
No one anywhere has proposed allowing the government to control climate in your home.
No one dictates what I drive or how much gas I use -- we haven't rationed gas since WWII.

So what the FUCK are you prattling on about, you stupid ninny?

They are in California.
