1) Oh I'm sorry, is Bloomberg a federal elected official?  No?  Okay, STFU then, or don't live in NYC.  Problem solved.

4) There's good evidence that private lobbyists from the traditional car manufacturers and the oil industry killed the electric car in the 70's, so we'll never know how it would have done in the market over the past 40 years.  Time will tell how it does this time.  Again, you stupid ass, STFU.

Why can't liberals hold a conversation without resorting to insults? Shows a bit of mental instability....Anyway....

1) So if noone is telling YOU what to eat (hello, Michelle Obama?), then it's not happening? Do you agree that throwing away food because you don't know the fat/salt/fiber content is better than giving it to the homeless? And didn't Obama speak of this very thing when he was throwing ObamaCare around?

2) By force, meaning if you don't pay, you go to jail or have liens placed on your possessions. In addition, you are guilty until proven innocent

3) These initiatives have been proposed in many states. The fact they are being proposed AT ALL should give you pause. That it doesn't?

4) Let's look at Tyson's corner as an example of poor green planning. Four new metro stations, no parking. When will the infrastructure be completed to support their green plan? 10-20 YEARS. Same thing with the electric car industry. Can't plug in but a few places. Wind power? Killing birds and 'not in my backyard'. Ad nauseum.

We do not live in a democracy, we live in a democratic republic. A conservative is not for no government.  The Feds are limited by the Constitution. Anything not outlined in the Constitution falls to the states for exactly the reason you stated - one can move from state-to-state. So if Cali controls your power, move to Texas, etc. However, when Obama pushes for smart meters and smart grids, one has to wonder why and what Constitutional jurisdiction he has to spend our tax money on the research of such.
