The problem with U. Md. is that College Park is the worst college town for a major university on the entire East Coast and 99.9% of Maryland students have no connection to any of the things that are notable about the place. It's truly sad that the poor Maryland booster hangs his hat on a bunch of things that he never personally experienced and only read about on Wikipedia.

Wow. Just checked Umd's assault rate for September 2012 and it is many times higher than UVA's. I guess the facts have just blown a hole in the Umd Booster's favorite argument. Look at the scary number of on campus assaults for yourself:

UVA clunge is famous for being 3rd worse in the ACC . Only duke and BC are worse. Umd has much hotter cooch than UVA . Uva has that Sandra fluke sour milk vajaajaa. Umd grads like Tiffany Taylor set a high bar UVA can never meet.

I'm referencing the violent crime rate over the last 15 years not one month... UVA has more murders on the lacrosse team than Umd has on campus in the last.....forever. Not to mention the horrible abduction and murder of a poor coed at the on campus arena. Yuck.

And of course, the murderer was born and raised in Maryland. We don't know where the concertgoer was abducted, but we do know that it was not at the arena. Maryland needs to enhance its research methodology requirements.

That's because Umd has 2 football games on campus at home in september you doofus all that is is people getting their butt pinched and throwing beer. UVA games are off campus. I notice UVA has a ton of crime called "other"... That's assault. Charlottesville has 6 x more violent crime than Umd over the last 15 years.
