I like it. You know you are getting a straight answer. No pussy-footin' around like you may get in real life. You do have to remind yourself that these people do not know you in real life, so this helps to ignore that obvious mean ones, but if you jsut separate the wheat from the chaff, you are left with some good stuff, again, stuff that people IRL may not tell you b/c they are trying to be too nicey-nice.

CL here. The metro thread is not mine. Nor is this one but I thank PP for speaking up and I hope we pass this attitude to our children. If we speak up the low self esteemed bullies will run away.

My issue with her, and trolls like her, is that a thread starts off fine and I write in some advice....and then get attacked by OP for said advice. And it's all for her entertainment. I do think that making fake posts on here can be detrimental because it makes people pause to figure out if they should try to help OP out, or if they are falling for a troll.

A good example of this is what happened on the post about a woman being hit while riding her bike. When people hadn't heard about on the news, the distrust that CL and others have instilled, made people second guess if the OP had made up a horrible thread for her own entertainment.

CL here. It's just that everything is so hard and serious and important. I have to hold my kids while I poop. We can't eat in the car - I'm not even sure if we have one. DH has an incredible amazing job that he can't quit and can't be fired from yet I'm worried about money so I need tips on how to save. I also can't walk since I have psoriasis and it's a disability so judging me would be cruel. I think my kids are here in the house, but it's hard to tell since I'm on DCUM ALL DAY LONG. If I even have kids - I might be lying.

This is the OP. I am not CL and, although I saw several references made to her on the thread about unpaid leave, I never read the CL thread itself. I couldnt point to any threads supposedly written by her as I do not know her MO.
Also, regardless of the defenses made here, I still find it disturbing that I am amongst people who enjoy cruelty as a sport, however witty.
I have been on dcum for several years-before it became "the" DCUM, and I know people here can be frank to the point of being cutting at times, but I think the posts lately are on a whole new level of meanness.

I think it's because the demographic has changed - there are more younger women on here than in the past. So, a greater level of immaturity.
