Seriously? I'm a redhead and offended to be put into the same category as fat people.

I dated 3 guys shorter than me (I am 5'9"). I have zero issues with short men. I disliked that one of them asked me not to wear high heels. If is he is confident, there will be zero issue. Men have to own it and say whatever! Sorry, but no one is physically perfect.

Tom Cruise hasn't done so bad.

Also confused by the straight hair comment. I have straight hair and have always thought wavy hair was considered more attractive...

Me, too! When I was younger I even used to use hair rollers and a curling iron!

Tell that AA women who spend thousands annually to have straight hair.

Confident, funny and smart and a man can do well regardless of height and actually be a little funny looking. Have a chip on his shoulder and he is going to have a problem, also probably regardless of height.

I was always attracted to shortish, funny, smart guys. I am 5'4" and objectively quite attractive and successful. I married a tall (6'3"), funny, smart guy, but it was because he was the best guy for me, not because he was the tallest. I actually I did not think DH was attractive when I first met him, but he was confident and funny and won me over. The guy I was dating before him was maybe 5'7" tall and seriously balding. He is also quite happily married now.

Short people got no reason to live
They got little hands
Little eyes
They walk around Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes on their nasty little feet

I'm 6'2 and whenever my buddies and I would go bar hopping, I'd just scan the bar for tall girls. If you're a tall guy and nice looking, tall women are low hanging fruit.

That's very insulting. You suck. Good thing you are 6'2".

This is why when I was younger I wished I were taller. No decent low hanging fruit for average short guys.

I'm 5'8, husband is 5'7. I always went for tall guys, that was just my type. Tall with very dark hair was my thing. Then I met my husband and his short ass swept me off my feet. OP, I don't think life is so bad for short guys. My husband is hot, but many women are loving and not so superficial as these boards would have you believe! the only thing that ever irritates me is when someone mocks a celebrity, say, Tom Cruise, for being short in front of my husband. It's not that my husband cares, he has thick skin and has long since gotten over any inferiority complex (if he ever had one) but I just think people can be so thoughtless.

And no, he doesn't make a lot of money. In fact, he's a SAHD.

Don't worry. Just make sure he makes a lot of money and doesn't get married till he is 40. There will be plenty of desperate 35 year olds fawning over him at that point.

Eh, I don't even think a lot of money is necessary, just a reasonable job, reasonably face, and a reasonable personality. Especially in this geographic area.
