Why are all of you so cruel to short men?

I think in general, men prefer petite women and women like a tall man. The farther one gets from these norms, the smaller the dating pool. A 6'2" woman doesn't really have it any easier.

A 6'2 woman has no problems if she has Maria Sharapova's weight / lithe body.

You can control weight so some extent by sheer hours on the court or in the gym.

not so for height.

Man here.
I wore a size 11.5 shoe back in the eighth grade. We all thought I'd be the tallest guy in our family of 6'3 trees. I topped out at 5'6. Suffice to say, I've heard every joke and put down imaginable. So what. I've never had trouble picking up women, some taller than me.

I think the "birthright" thing should be addressed head-on, here. I believe men are raised to expect they're entitled to love/sex/admiration from women they find (usually conventionally) attractive... but obviously, in a competitive dating pool, there are going to be people with more options and those with fewer options.

As it is, the world is incredibly forgiving about a man's appearance compared to the expectations imposed on women. I wouldn't expect a man to be unable to find a mate at all just because he's short, but if he's complaining because he finds himself rejected by HOT women, well... I might invite him to spend a day as a woman who's not thin. Or a woman who's not young... Yeah, no sympathy.

He can't change his height though. A woman can get thin through diet and exercise.

Short men are even more screwed now in dating, hence the whole short king empowerment movement. Every woman’s first OLD filter is height. And the trick of dating other cultures doesn’t work anymore, better nutrition means everyone is tall except the genetically short.

Only if he lets it define him. The world is cruel and hates everyone....honestly the people who are cruel have their own demons. I think personality and kindness matter. My cousin was 5'5 and his wife who was 5'8 adored him-he is fun, kind, and a hard worker. True love and had kids and the whole life package.
