Anyway, I did talk to my girl friend and she is going to keep my son for me when I work so I wont have to pay a sitter. I got ahold of my parents and my mom is going to get me to and from work until I get my vehicle back. THANK GOD I take online classes or this would be so much worse.

I too have a horrible brother, OP, who has done things to me I would never have expected because I love him. I finally, after many years, got to the point of cutting him off. I accept that I love him, but I can't let someone who hurts me be around me. Period, end of story.

Your brother is in a bad place, of course, and that's why he's taken advantage of you, OP. You sound like a good person with a generous, forgiving heart who is trying to do her best and believes in the best in other people. It's sad your brother has disappointed you, but it's admirable that you wanted to believe he would do the right thing. He may still return your car, so don't give up on that at least.

Two jobs and school and a toddler is more than most people can handle, so my hat is off to you. You will get this situation straightened out, and you'll get your car back, eventually. In the meantime, I hope you can get a friend to loan you a car, or at least transport you to work and back. p.s. don't even respond to the trolls. Some people can't resist kicking someone when he or she is down. people like that are needy, and you sound like you are on solid footing emotionally. Best of luck to you.

Call the friends and tell them you reported the car stolen and that the police are giving your brother 24 hrs to bring it back before sending an alert. (They'll never know it's not true) Tell them to pass along that given he's so newly released, he might want to avoid another brush with the law so quickly. Maybe they can scare him into bringing it back.

Good luck. Get your car and then cut the ties. This leopard clearly isn't changing his spots!!

He just returned the car. No, he SLIPPED the keys through the mail slot in my door (yeah I really have one of those) and so I ran out to check my car...There is a HUGE dent from the driver side door to the front tire and I had gas money that I had just taken out of the bank ($50) gone. I am so angry and hurt that I am literally shaking and burst into tears. My own brother is an asshole that stole from me and destroyed my property.

Also, I called the county to get his parole officer's name and number, earlier, and they said they had no record of my brother having a parole officer...I'm not sure how that is possible so I'll be calling again tomorrow.

So sorry, OP. At least you got it back and it seems to run. You also get to refuse him any other help because he shit on you like this. You owe him NOTHING and I hope the rest of his family and friends learns from this incident as well. He's really fucked himself more than anyone.
