Your brother is in a bad place, of course, and that's why he's taken advantage of you, OP. You sound like a good person with a generous, forgiving heart who is trying to do her best and believes in the best in other people. It's sad your brother has disappointed you, but it's admirable that you wanted to believe he would do the right thing. He may still return your car, so don't give up on that at least.

Two jobs and school and a toddler is more than most people can handle, so my hat is off to you. You will get this situation straightened out, and you'll get your car back, eventually. In the meantime, I hope you can get a friend to loan you a car, or at least transport you to work and back. p.s. don't even respond to the trolls.
