How can you call yourself a Christian if you have an "Christmas Tree"

Anonymous
I love Jesus and cutting down our own tree. And I sleep great at night.

Hey all you Christians out there! You wanna get together next weekend and kidnap the pagan's Winter Solstice Tree, and maybe have a big bonfire with the tree and some Harry Potter books?

Yeah, I didn't think so. Yawn.

I thought the Catholics were the ones who had a history of burning witches

This post is just too stupid to exist. You should be ashamed as a troll, most trolls can do better than this.

Considering Jesus wasnt born on December 25th, maybe the whole Christmas holiday should be scraped.

So you know his birthdate? Please share! I'm pretty sure there wasn't snow at his birth in Bethlehem, but until this PP comes up with something remotely credible, we might as well pick one day and stick with it.

Try religious insults on the Hebrew Charter School thread and somebody will call you Hitler.

The shepherds were out at night.
So it must have been September at the latest
Unless you suppose the climat has changed. Christmas did not exist in the earlier centuries. It was a roman tradition to celebrate the birth dates of the gods. And Dec 25 is the birth date of a Roman god. And winter solstice was the time that the pagans futher north had celebrations.
Christmas tree is not German in origin. In case anyone is interested in knowing.
Germany does not even have reindeer

Why?
I thought they love Jesus jokes

Ya, no I dont know when Jesus's birthday was. Picking the Winter Solstice celebration to piggy back on seems as good as any.

I'm always surprised by the non-Christians who think they're enlightening us by pointing out the pagan origins behind some of the dates. Yes, we all know already, in fact we've known since they taught us in Sunday School.

Thanks for trying, though!

Indeed, and you'll see some christian-bashing on that thread. You just can't challenge anything about their own religion, the way the troll is challenging christianity here.

It's like a little kid with a booger joke. The adults are just rolling their eyes.

Are there really people out there who take the Bible literally? That is so sad, and scary.
