Ignore the troll.

OK, how about fables? Or "man-written story time?" Or "fantasies?" I still prefer calling anything that encourages you to consider others subhuman as crap, but it's OK if you don't agree with me.

And for the record, there are many atheists posting on here.

Are you really going to make me go through the Old Testament and point out the multitude of "rules" that have no place in modern society? Really? 'Cause there sure are a lot of them . . .

No, sorry. It's absolutely OK to call other peoples' thoughts and beliefs "crap". Especially when they're Hell-bent on making them public policy.

If you claim that Kenny G is the greatest composer who ever lived, I'm going to tell you you're wrong. I'll probably laugh at you. I may even use colorful language. Why? Because there's no evidence in favor, and a lot of evidence against.

Now, if you make it your life's work to force public schools to play Kenny G all day long via loudspeaker, and dedicate an afternoon a week to "Kenny G Appreciation", I'm going to say your ideas are "crap". Why? Because otherwise you'll point to the lack of pushback as a "consensus".

Obviously you didn't read the part where several of us pointed out that we don't consider others as subhuman, and we justified our positions with scriptures.

I can see why you don't read anything that contradicts your preconceived notions -- it would be hard for you to continue making sweeping generalizations and broad insults -- and that would suck all the fun out of playing the outraged brat on DCUM!

I think that, like libel, calling other folks' beliefs "crap" is defensible when it's true.

So the two choices are "believe homosexuality is a sin" and atheist? Talk about a false dichotomy.

It's fine that you personally don't. That's great. But it's not what the bible says, right? Or are you finding exceptions?

Yes, there are many of us on the board, and yes, there are more than one of whom you consider ranting, i.e. "don't agree with you." The whole thread was completely hijacked by religious folks who actually took it seriously. Are you all really that one-dimensional that you lack all humor?

Way to twist a post. 12:28 was criticizing YOUR OWN lecturing. You lectured the rest of us about deviating from OP's original intentions, which is pretty laughable because this happens on DCUM all the time....

Outta here. Between the post-twistings (like yours) and the outright insults, you atheists seem like a nasty bunch to talk to.

I am the OP, so I think I know my own intentions, but nice try.

Several of us (at least one other person besides me) pointed out that Jesus never said that. The second post in this thread says that Jesus repudiated all the stuff in Leviticus, including the stuff about homosexuality.

It would help if you read what EVERYBODY writes, instead of zeroing in, and stoking your sense of outrage, on the few fundamentalist nutcases.

Wow! You're saying that nobody is ever allowed to deviate from an OP's original intentions? On any DCUM thread, ever? I see this happen all the time, so this rule must be new. When does this rule start?

But they're so fun to poke fun at. If a post doesn't apply to you, ignore it and move on. Why take offense to something that isn't directed at you or your position? That's like me getting all upset because someone replied to the post above mine. It wasn't directed at me. I don't worry about it. Calm down. It's all going to be OK.

I think OP's goal was to insult believers (under the guise of "humor" that points out contradictions in their "crappy" scripture) and then jump on believers when they respond. Nice game of "gotcha."
