How much or what % do you tip Peapod driver?

DRIVERS FOR PEAPOD MAKE 10 A HOUR. TIPS ARE NICE FOR THE WORK OF BRINGING IT WHERE EVER PEOPLE LIKE I. OTHERWISE WHY NOT PICK IT FROM THE TRUCK?

Why are you screaming?

Our groceries range between $80 and 140; we tip at least $10, and up to $20 for a lot of heavy stuff.

So I give cash from now on but do not always have it handy so when I don't I add a lil extra on the paerwork tip.

As the law requires, of course! WTF, PP?!! This money is supposed to be taxed... as all the rest of our incomes are!

I tip 5 to 10% the guy pulls your order brings to your door or kitchen. It is a service you should tip very labor intensed. I was reading some other posts and just want to say people are so rude how could you stiff the guy or give him five dollars he is bringing multiple boxes of your food to your door. Her has to watch everything he is doing so nothing gets damaged. What do you tip your pizza guy hate to know... come on people think think think those drivers are sideway always kind and polite, they live of tips they don't make much.... at least 8 to 20 dollars is good

No tip.

I tip 10 dollars every time. Considering it saves me a lot of precious time and gas. Not only that they get your order together and bring it all to your kitchen table for you. This kind of service definetly deserves a tip. I would say generally tip more than you would a waitress or pizza delivery, they work a lot harder than them. Not as much as a hairdresser though because they have a special talent and spend a lot of time on their service to you.

I tip my Peapod driver 10% of my bill. Well worth the couple bucks for peace of mind.

$5. Our order is usually small, and I don't have it brought into the house.

The driver doesn't get your order together. That's someone else's job. The driver just drives it to your house and unloads it.

I think between $5 to $10 is a good tip, although I would tip more if Peapod didn't already charge $9 for delivery. I usually tip over 30% in restaurants, so I'm not a cheap tipper, but 20% for Peapod seems excessive, considering that my orders are usually around $200. I'm not tipping the driver $40.

You are all nuts. I pay $8-10 delivery fee and have to tip??

I tip $10-$20 depending on what we buy. We tend to buy a lot of heavy stuff and have two sets of steps.

I think that's crazy. I tip around 5-10. Tipping 20 dollars is way too high. These drivers are not waiters. They don't make under minimum wage and they don't spend that much time with you. If a driver makes around 8 deliveries per day, (1 per hour and I'm sure they do more than that) tipping 10 dollars they would be pulling in 80 dollars a day on top of their wage. That's 400 a week. Include their 10 dollar an hour wage and its 800 a week. At that point, they are making almost as much as me and I have a college degree. I think it's hilarious that people are using the term hard labor. Hard labor is usually referring to jobs that are very labor intensive and wear on your body like construction, farming, mining, or masonry. I think it's rude to equate what they do with grocery deliveries. My 60 year old mother carries grocery bags. Lol. It's not that you shouldn't tip a lot if you have the money and feel inclined, but don't make others feel badly when they are tipping within reason.
