People say this, but what do you actually mean by it? It's not ad though Vance doesnt agree with the policies of this administration. He is still an embarrassment on the world stage. He is still all in on enriching his billionaire buddies. He still lacks any sense of morality or humanity. The only difference is that is brain is less soupy. I fail to see how having someone evil AND comparatively competent as a replacement is an improvement. |
It is and they do, and your refusal to open your eyes to reality is what is pathetic. The two parties have aligned themselves against the interests of the average American. Their differences lie only in their rhetoric and methodology. The democrats get nothing of substance done to help us and republicans actively hurt us. But please understand, they both ultimate service corporate and wealthy interests. |

They are because the don’t want their citizens killed in the war the did not want to engage in.
This was Trump and only trump’s decision. |
It didn't require any competence to pardon all the J6ers. Vance wouldn't have done that. |
What makes you believe that? His vocal opposition to it? |
| The thing is, they can't actually help him even if they wanted. The US Navy isn't even willing to go into the strait. What is the French of UK Navy supposed to do? If they join, they are just lending legitimacy to Trump's war and making it more difficult to eventually get an agreement with Iran. |
I mean, one side is dedicated to ripping you and your children (and your children’s children) off, and making your life worse because desperate people are easier to manipulate, while the other is trying to get you some affordable healthcare. But they’re totally the same. |
Iran thought the talks were going well too, but then they were attacked: “We don't see any reason why we should talk with Americans, because we were talking with them when they decided to attack us, and that was for the second time. There is no good experience talking with Americans.” https://time.com/article/2026/03/15/iran-Abbas-Araghchi-ceasefire-trump/ |
You sweet summer child. Just because someone says they are trying to do something does not mean they actually are. Democrats have been making this claim literally my entire life. We still have the most expensive healthcare with the worst outcomes of any developed nation. The democrats take the very same healthcare industry lobby money. They tell you what you want to hear, quietly arrange backroom deals to ensure nothing really changes, and they play a game of rotating villains to keep you distracted. At a certain point you have to stop listening to promises and start looking at results. I'm not suggesting there are no differences between the parties. I'm suggesting the difference are not nearly as large or as substantive as many dem voters convince themselves they are. Yes we should elect democrats. But we also need to keep our wits about us and understand they are still playing for the other side (the rich). You can't trust them and only consistent vigilance and public pressure will force them to act in our interests. Constantly mewing about how Republicans are worse is a waste of time. We can demand more of our representatives than mildly better than the people actively trying to kill us. |
A lot of non wealthy people voted for Trump. Americans are getting what we deserve. It's the rest of the world who don't deserve Trump's F*UP. This is unfortunately a very painful lesson for the world, that if you support a deranged, demented megalomaniac, this is what you get. This is like the Germans who supported Hitler. I guess people just refuse to learn from history. |
+1 If Biden or Obama gone to war with Iran, MAGA's heads would've exploded calling Dems warmongers and how we shouldn't be involved foreign wars. Remember when Trump said Obama would bomb Iran because he was a weak POUTS? |
It is true that most of our R and D politicians have been corrupted by their wealthy campaign donors to the extent that they are obligated to serve the interests of the very few over the interests of all of the American people but there is no equating the credibility and viability of the two major parties when it is the GOP who was duped into nominating Trump in three consecutive elections. Trump's impact on American politics and our standing in the world is a significant problem in the short term. The dysfunction and weakness of our two major parties caused by the out of control influence of money is by far the most challenging long term political problem. |
As citizens of the world AND American citizens, we should hope for outcomes favorable our country and our whole world. Ripple effect of any destruction anywhere affects all humans everywhere on this planet. You can't let dislike of one person be bigger than your empathy for all humans. |
Dems tried to get health insurance for millions of people; Rs blocked it. I'm a former R, and IMO, Dems are less of a threat to the American people and our democracy compared to today's Rs. |

Haven’t we won already!
We have crushed them. |
