Woah. You think whether ans how many letters follow your name should dictate salary? GMAFB. I managed plenty of those who were not worth the tuition they paid. They may have been book smart but couldn’t work in the real world. There is a lot of jobs that say you need a degree(s) that really don’t. You should tell your plumber how you feel about how much they make. LOLOL. |
Oh yes, nurses who sit on the phone half their shift buying shit on Amazon and scrolling TikTok should be getting paid $275k. Lololololool. |
So go get your nursing degree and get it on it! |
Not sure if this was meant as a joke, but you aren’t wrong. |
Only those who are ambitious and more highly educated and trained make those higher salaries. The strikers want higher salaries for lower levels of credentialing, basing their argument on the profitability of their employers, not on the actual market value they bring to their roles. If they want to share in their employer's profits, they need to become stockholders, not extortionists. They also surely would not be demanding their wages be reduced in years when their employers profits decline, demonstrating further that this has nothing to do with the value of their labor, which would be the same at an unprofitable hospital as it is where they happen to be fortunate enought to be employed. |
| We all know that nurses don't make anywhere close to what doctor's make, don;t be ridiculous. If you are surprised at whata nurse makes in NYC, I am sure you'd faint to see a doctor's salary. I'd rather watch nurses and teachers make more money than the Bill Ackmans of the world. Why do you all want the billionaires to get richer and richer while the middle class becomes poor? |
Having worked as a med surg nurse who barely ever had time to pee, perhaps you are jealous, uh sure
|
Actually, docs In NYC dont make that much because they have tons of docs who'd want to move there and work. The big bucks for medicine are working in more remote areas. |
Right. YOU, would be surprised at how little doctors make in NYC. Sure, there are some high paid plastics or ultra specialty ones getting paid a lot. But the average general surgeon or internal medicine doctor would make probably double what they would make in NYC in the Midwest. |
Reason elites push for more and more Immigration |
|
I’m sorry but they are worth every penny.
Cut costs somewhere to make this happen. |
According to Zip recruiter, the average salary for a NYC nurse was $96k. Glassdoor and Indeed's average for the city is $109k. I know a couple of doctors pulling in well-over 1 million a year. One is a high-risk OB-GYN, two are cardiologist, and another one is a neurologist. I'm pretty sure the plastic surgeon that injects my face is earning a minimum of 7-figures. I think that's probably the norm for those professions. OADN, my OB-GYN friend who handles high risk pregnancies also has a very high premium for her med mal insurance. All but the OB-GYN are men. PP, I don't think doctors was a good analogy. Teachers, maybe, but like nurses, teachers are woefully underpaid in every state. Nurses and teachers' salaries are comparable, and both dominated by women workers. https://www.ziprecruiter.com/Salaries/Rn-Salary-in-New-York-City,NY https://www.glassdoor.com/Salaries/new-york-city-ny-registered-nurse-salary-SRCH_IL.0,16_IM615_KO17,33.htm https://www.indeed.com/career/registered-nurse/salaries/New-York--NY https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/teacher-pay-by-state https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/nurse-salary-by-state |
There's a nursing shortage, so who are you replacing them with? |
| Amazingly, the person most responsible for someone’s life or death and care is not the doctor or nurse but the cna and they get minimum wage |

Send in the cheap h1bs from India.
Come on DCUM elites. You all love h1bs for cheap labor. There is an obvious solution. Expand h1bs like democrats want to do |
