Anecdotal stories from your own perspective and narrow lens of the world are just that. No way to tell the wider trends until the dust settles more and actual data is shared.

Yeah, schools are going to take the same number or even more kids ED than in prior years. I suppose the results could be worse if more kids applied ED and the ED acceptance rate goes down, but no way to know that yet from a few anecdotes.

Application volume is being reported up at a lot of schools so far that have released info.

I think this will be a year where RD and RD waitlists will be where the real action happens! More selective schools will be more conservative in the ED rounds. Less selective schools will quickly lock a lot of folks in!

some of us got a heads up from the counselors about decisions coming up ... so title is true for us unfortunately!

2026 seems to be worse than 2025 cycle. A lot of early indicators out there.
