Fav recipe?

I’ve never made this but it seems super easy and popular. Is it very salty though?

It’s soooo good. I make it all the time. Not too salty but if worried don’t put all the ranch seasoning in.

I make mashed potatoes with it to serve.

I won't arrive home in time for mashed potatoes. Can I serve with bread? Will this work on rolls?

Pioneer woman has a mashed potato recipe designed to make ahead.

It's worked well for us.

I'm the make ahead mashed potato person. That was not to say that I think it wouldn't work with bread, or that frozen brown rice you just put in the microwave.

Pot roast but get twice as much beef as you think if it’s teen boys. Have lots of Hawaiian rolls and tons of sliced fruit

It’s a chuck roast, a packet of ranch seasoning, packet of au jus, a 1/4 cup pepperoncini liquid, 1/2 a stick of butter sliced on top and 5-6 perreroncinis.

This sounds so gross.

I know, I thought so too but it's really good actually. Strongly recommend using unsalted butter bc there is a lot of sodium in the ranch packet and au jus packet.

I forgot the butter last time and it was still delicious. You really don’t need the butter. I know it sounds weird but it’s so tasty. Serve w roasted broccoli and mashed potatoes. Just try it!

Do baked mashed potatoes.

Mash them chunky, with skins on half of them.

Add cream/milk, butter, salt and pepper to taste. Stir in sour cream to taste and 2 cups of your favorite shredded cheese (I use mexican blend because it melts well)

If you like green onions and bacon, you can added chopped green onions and crumbled bacon too.

Put into a casserole pan. Top with shedded cheese.

Cover with foil and put in the fridge until you need it.

It just needs to be warmed in a 375 oven for 20-30 minutes.

Just microwave some mashed potatoes. If you aren’t going to be home, how are you going to cook it? Last time I made this in my slows cooker, high for 4 hours it was tough as shoe leather. I also do this with chicken breasts and it takes 3 -3.5 hours on low.

4 hours isn't enough for beef. You needed to cook it longer. OP can put it on before she leaves for work and leave it all day. That is how slow cooker meals work.

Beef needs longer. I do at least 8 hours on low and it comes out meltingly tender.

No chicken, they eat a ton of that.
No pork.
Already did spaghetti and meatballs.

What can I make ahead on Sunday, OR Monday morning for Monday evening?
