No one likes JLG more than a mediocre, over-privileged white person. |
| A JLG mayorship is a surefire way to have Congress take over DC. |
You really love that phrase, don’t you? The rest of us are nauseated by your incessant nonsense. |
+1 No one would be happier if she wins than Trump and congressional Republicans. |
| The anti-JLG comments here feel largely the same as when she was running for council. Turns out you (your group?) of AstroTurf trolls wasn't effective then either. |
I am a constituent who has posted in this thread and I did, in fact, post in a big thread about her here when she ran for re-election. It's not astroturfing to have the nerve to post a different opinion than the one you hold about a politician, although I see that the pro-JLG comments calling everyone who isn't impressed with her a MAGAt or cop plant seem to pass muster in your review.

This is the JLG folks go-to move. If you disagree with them on anything, then you must be MAGA. JLG would be a terrible mayor. She's an extremist, she's incapable of compromise, she's prickly and condescending and she's has no experience running large organizations. Someone else needs to step up. |
I think to people who have not really engaged with her, she comes across as a powerhouse, but to others like us, we know better. |
What did she lie about? |
It will be interesting to see what happens. |
+1 Said the same on the last thread |
DP and I'm pretty sure she'll win. I don't want her to be mayor, and I don't think her winning will be any evidence that she's immensely popular (are we to believe that Bowser is universally adored, since she's been elected more times and to a higher office? Or do we all realize that most people are indifferent to her at best?), but . . . who else is there to vote for? Kenyan? Some as-yet unnamed Bowser puppet? A third party candidate? This is DC. We have crummy, uninspiring politicians who are either on the take or aggravatingly radical and ineffective or both. And when they leave, we get a new one. Maybe it's good that we're moving in a "aggravatingly radical" direction instead of "blatantly felonious." Maybe that's the best we can hope for. |
What is happening there? |
| Did she support or oppose the terrible crime bill promoted by Charles Allen? That’s all I need to know. She sounds pretty terrible. I would like to see someone entirely brand new step up, who like MAMDANI can talk about affordability and public safety, better schools and transit, and not let developers and NIMBYs run this town, |
Supported. |
