Why the JLG hype?

She has a charismatic personality but I don’t know if she has the substance to go against Trump. I’m not excited about the upcoming race.

I’m op. Alright. Then yeah, if those are her key supporters then this makes total sense. Ugh.

She's my councilperson and I've met her half a dozen times and not seen evidence of this charisma. But if the standard is Bowser than JLG is basically Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, so maybe you're grading on a DC politician curve here.

I'm a constituent and she lied to me on something in such a brazen, painfully obvious way that it almost made me laugh. It was like a ridiculous stereotype of a politician.

+1. JLG is horrible. Her constitutent services are downright nasty, and she just sucks up to whatever is popular at the moment amongst the wealthy liberals. Remember that parts of her ward are WOTP.

My favorite is that she's been able to do nothing about the rising crime in the Kennedy St. NW corridor.

She has never responded to us when we have reached out to her office. No follow up from anyone in her office. There is no way that I am voting for her. My neighbors can't stand her. She will not be mayor.

You must be joking. She is no Mamdani.

What has she done for Ward 4?

By rejecting every measure aimed at reducing crime, she becomes part of the problem.

She was for defunding the police. She's probably the last person you should expect to do something about crime.
