I am 5'1" so I need to lose quite a bit more, but I have been stalled for about 4 months despite moving up to 10 mg. I never get sick from the medication, can still poop normally, etc. and can even eat greasy foods without issue (though I've only done that a few times in the past few months). Does the medication just not work past a certain point for people? I've really stepped up my exercise, go to orangetheory 3-4 times a week and peloton 2-3 days a week. I have a toddler who I'm constantly preparing food for. The food noise just hasn't really reduced by much since about three months in even after stepping up the medication. Any hints?

You have a tolerance. You need to up your dose or switch to stronger meds.

What stronger meds? I lost the most weight at 2.5, then a bit at 4, but I’ve moved up and have been losing and gaining the same 3 lbs since going up the dosage ladder. I’ve been on 10 mg for 3 weeks now and it’s just more of the same. I’m thinking I may have reached the end of what this medicine can do for me and it might be time to go on a maintenance dose for a while and consider what to do next. Just saying, it’s not a miracle drug for everyone. My A1C, cholesterol, etc. were all good at my highest weight though, so maybe it helps those with A1C/hormonal issues a lot.

Same for me! I struggled all my life with hypoglycemia and Wegovy fixed it! Labs like an 18 y o and over 40 lbs lost. No more wheezing when exercising.
Fingers crossed my insurance renews auth this week.

Did you go off of it?

Yes. I lost 50 lbs first. I'm slowly inching up again, though.

Wegovy for me was $1000 a month. One coupon for $299 after my insurance stopped covering it.

Zepbound $500 a month.

Buy the compound version! $500 for 3 months on Brello.

Without insurance $499 a month and the company just dropped it to $350. Paying out of pocket, saving $100 at least on food a month.

My dr said I would start on Wegovy and when I stall can move to zebound as a second-line drug. Also said by then there may be something better. I have 100 lbs to loose.

Another woman who's life has been changed by these drugs with ZERO side effects (other than weight loss of 50 pounds). I really don't get all the negativity - these drugs have been around for over a decade, and work well. Yes, there are some who have some side effects, but for the vast majority, it helps them to lose weight and get and stay healthy.

I first started to lose weight and it helped me a lot. I can't go above the 2nd dose without losing all interest in food. I'm find being a little over my original goal b/c I don't struggle with food too much or too little at this level. I also have some family members with neurodegenerative diseases and I will stay on a GLP-1 forever, if I can.

People have more money than you do? This amount would not faze me in the least.

Same. That amount is nominal to me. I’m spending $200 a month on compounded

The regain will be so sweet for you both.

All these people at 140 weren’t even fat. SMH.

I'm envious. For me, the side effects were so bad that I had to quit.

I’m 5’0 and now 110 (a healthy weight and looks very healthy on me, not bony. Taller people think this weight is super low but it’s not for my height). It has changed my life. I no longer want to snack, I stopped drinking entirely and I feel great. I lost really slowly so my hair didn’t fall out and it hasn’t. Life changing!

140 is overweight for me at 5’1. 130 is the upper limit of my bmi.

That's only part of it. If you are pre-diabetic at that weight, then you have to change your diet and activity levels.

gee, thanks. this is the first time I'm hearing this. /s

Well it bears repeating, even if you already knew, as some might not realize that being healthy is more than just what the scale says you have lost.

Oh FFS. Do you go around pointing out the obvious to everyone you know? I'm guessing people do not like you.

She does sound very <unty
