Hate the parent, not the kid. |
So is it fine or not? Is it on your school calendar as a school celebration or is it a Google calendar note like Canadian independence day? Which school? Lots that’s missing here, OP. |
Yikes, you are a mean person! My daughter and I have a great relationship. She has literally never mentioned this and I don’t think she cares about it (if she even knows about it). Unlike Pi Dsy and May the Fourth day, both of which she definitely does commemorate as a massive geek girl. I’m not blowing out anyone’s candle. Everyone call celebrate whatever they want. Let a thousand flowers bloom. |
| This sounds like a great school! I wish my kids school would do that. |
School calendar plus mentioned today by the head of school in their email. |
| I am wondering. Now anyone can come out without prejudice at least in the school. So again my question. Do you really need that day on top of pride day ( which I support). |
None of this is appropriate at school. |
+1 |
Not the same. You do understand why there is a Coming Out day for gay people, but not straight people right? Straight people never had to hide "in the closet." It is a celebration of the end of hiding, shame, intolerance, fear, discrimination. |
You think prejudice has ended? Did you read this thread? |
In the kids school. I am OP and describing factually how it is in the school. |
You haven't described anything. |
Why not? Too much celebrating in general? Not enough academics? |
Which school? |
I described everything. There is the LGBTQ+ and coming out day. Why do we need both? What else do you need ? |
