I agree it seems like one of the dresser drawers in or near the closet is a good bet. Or the vanity drawer where your toothbrush is. The fact that you told yourself it was safe suggests it was stowed away in a container-like place where there was no chance it could fall.

Make sure you check your jacket pockets and the pockets of anything you wore that night.

I bet it’s somewhere in your closet. Check the pockets of clothes hanging in there, inside purses, around the necks of empty hangers, inside shoes, inside your underwear/sock drawer, etc. I sometimes put jewelry in the inner pocket of my purse to keep it safe until I get home

I didn’t shower until much later; it’s 1000% not in the bathroom and didn’t go down the drain.

Maybe on a shelf in your closet? Or in your kid’s room? Or I once put my phone down on the top of my laundry basket. Someone knocked it in and I had such a hard time finding it.
