Where is my necklace?

I wore it to a dinner last night. When I got home, things were chaotic and I remember taking off my bra, and then the necklace, to get comfortable to handle the situation. I distinctly remember putting it somewhere and thinking, “It’ll be safe here for now, I’ll put it away later.”

Famous last words. I went to bed without putting it away and now I can’t find it.

I checked the garbage, which was mostly empty because I had taken the garbage out on my way out the door for dinner. Not there.

I checked the vacuum, even though I didn’t vacuum. Nothing.

I checked every surface, in the couch cushions, under rugs, under furniture, every nook and cranny you can imagine. It’s nowhere.

I HAD it on when I got home. I didn’t leave the house betweeen then and when I discovered it missing. Where could it be? Help me brainstorm!

Check all of your pockets. ALL of them - pants, skirts, jackets, hoodies. Even if you don't remember putting an article of clothing on, check the pockets.

Also the laundry hamper, in case you put it in the pocket and then put that article of clothing in the hamper and it fell out of the pocket.

Yes, picture yourself and what you were doing. Where did you take off your bra???!!
Did you take off your necklace at the same time or later? Where? What were you wearing? Pocket of clothes you were wearing, a clean glass or bowl in the kitchen? Purse? Shelf near where you were?

I found a chain link bracelet after months - it is was in a trinket dish, but part of the dish was covered by the decor/design of the dish, so a hidden compartment almost. I also found my missing laptop after posting here. It had slid down the side of the couch, between the couch cushion and bottom and the side. I don’t know if there was always a slit there or if seams tore with age! I was inspired by missing ring lady after dcum helped her find her ring.

OP here. I can’t remember the order of things.

I undressed in my closet, took off the bra, put my shirt back on, and… ? All I remember is telling myself “it’ll be safe here” after taking off the necklace, but I don’t know where I was.

I didn’t shower until much later; it’s 1000% not in the bathroom and didn’t go down the drain.

It’s not with my bra. It’s not even in that drawer. I took the whole thing apart.
