| Closet shelf? I have a habit of putting something on a closet shelf every 3 months or so and also knocking it down so it falls into a shoe or boot. Every fall I find a long lost earring in the toe of a boot. |

Kid’s room, kitchen, etc. - look on flat surfaces in whatever room you were trying to get under control, also “safe” places along the way (hall table, pass-through ledge, etc) |

Thanks everyone. I’ve searched everywhere and I’m sort of to the point where I’m second guessing if I even took it off at home or if maybe it just fell off somewhere at dinner.
Oh, well. Maybe it’ll surface one day. If not, what a bummer. I liked that necklace! I’ll update if I ever find it! |

| Do you have kids? My fingers swole to the point I could not wear my wedding ring when I was pregnant. I put it somewhere safe, but it disappeared. Eventually found it in a plastic Easter egg that DC1 had put it in because she thought it was so pretty. I don't even know how she found it. |

I was going to say medicine cabinet or linen closet. Are you sure you didn't use the bathroom before the shower?
What was the chaos and how fast did you respond to it? If with a kid, did you check their room? In your shoes or other shoes in the closet? |

| I couldn't find my dogs collar last week. We looked everywhere. Even outside. I said to DH "we're acting like it's int he most obscure place and it's probably in the most obvious". I found it under the couch. |
