Can I wear this dress to a wedding? (cream and navy)

For context, I am early 50s and have menopause weight going on - It has been very hard to find a dress that has sleeves and is forgiving to my very full bust. Any suggestions on alternatives very welcome. I like the dress I posted but will not wear it to the wedding given the gray area. For those who said it is ugly, fine, but it is hard to find dresses that fit a size 8 body and are not too youthful, have sleeves and do not show cleavage.

A high neck like the one on the dress you posted is the worst for a large bust. Try a V neck or other neck that comes to a point (like a button down, sweetheart, notch neck, etc). FWIW, size 8 is not big compared to the average American and early 50's is not necessarily time to start dressing like a grandma (unless you want to). Some ideas below.

This board is full of bored ladies would like nothing more than to find links for you. We can give much better suggestions if you tell us the wedding venue, time of year, expected weather, dress code, your personal taste, etc.

DP. The suggestions are kind, but I like OP's original choice better than any of these. The first one is decent, but reads very old to me. The second won't work if you truly have a large bust. The third is bordering on casual.

No don't wear that!

How insecure is the bride?

I think your dress is fine, OP! It has a pattern, so no one is going to mistake you for the bride. You could add a navy scarf too.

I should learn by now not to click links in these posts because then these hideous dresses and shoes follow me around the internet. But I always hold out hope that there will be something pretty on the other side of the click. Sigh.

No — get something all Navy or any other shade but this

Unless you’re a posh Mennonite? Then, maybe.

I love how you said "early 50s isn't time to start dressing like a grandma" and then proceeded to link to grandma dresses lmfao.

I love it too, but it's too cream so she should not.

It's so cream it's almost beige. No one would ever look at her and be outraged that she's "wearing white".

Brides should not wear white

Now that's a hot troll take! From someone who married in cobalt blue.

That is not a white dress. Wear it if you like it.
