I really like it and was disappointed to see that it’s sold out.

I agree. I'm sick of these blanket "rules". That dress is a print, it's not solid white. And it's also cream, not stark white. That plus the large navy pattern makes it perfectly fine.

I also agree. It’s a large print and looks nothing like a wedding dress.

It looks like a fricking mumu.

What’s a “mumu”?

Really? Basically a large night gown.

I think it is fine. It will not be mistaken for a wedding dress and it understated. It would be cute on the right person.

I think that dress was hideous. Even looked bad on the model!

This! Wear something else.

As a 53 yo woman, that dress is FRUMPY.

I have large boobs and wear between a 12-14, always, always look for v-neck style rather than a high neck. Fit and flare, midi length -- sleeveless is likely to look better than something with sleeves.

Maybe something like this would work for you? https://www.macys.com/shop/product/alex-evenings-compression-embellished-ruched-sheath-dress?ID=2542548&swatchColor=Charcoal#DRESS_LENGTH/Knee%20Length

That is just as frumpy as the dress OP posted.

Can you define the word frumpy? Because it gets thrown around a lot and I don’t think we mean the same thing.

Yeah high neck dresses are actually emphasize a large bust more, so if you're concerned about that, it isn't it.

Instead of sleeves adding a shrug or cami would give you more options. The longer sleeves restrict your options a lot.

+1. Second dress shows some figure without being too revealing. OP's dress covers from neck to ankle and is somewhat shapeless. It's going to make anyone with a large chest just look fat. And at a size 8, you definitely aren't fat.

Is this the correct link?

The linked dress is neither fit and flare nor midi length. It's also ugly.

I wouldn’t call it frumpy but it does scream 53 year-old cougar.
