George Clooney discloses he and his wife live 'seperate lives'

Once a bachelor always a bachelor- it’s hard to change.

This is what I think as well. It’d be one thing but you don’t need two divorces just to have a beard.

It is a “conscious uncoupling”

The article doesn't imply divorce at all. It says she moved to NYC for his Broadway run. Did people actually... read it before commenting?

All he said was Amal was with the kids. I don't believe intouch weekly but I also don't believe the excuse of her missing his big premiere because she was with the kids. Intouch is capitalizing on there something being up with them

It could be that he has an interest in some other lover of any gender.
The truth is, I am not sure how she can even have a conversation with someone so insipid and uneducated.

Why do you think he's insipid and uneducated? Yes, I know he doesn't have formal education, but he never came across as particularly stupid. Although I will say I don't exactly follow him either.

This is what have always heard from the rumor mill from friends in L.A. so just figured he married for a beard.

Yeah, I really don't think so. Bi, perhaps. But homosexual? Why put himself through such a charade?

He didn’t need to marry her. He could have stayed the eternal bachelor and still be adored.

He thought there was a lane to enter politics.

+100
-- he thought there was a lane to enter politics, where a beautiful and well-educated wife would be helpful for a lefty/liberal candidate.
-- he's a self-obsessed egotist and realized he wanted not to be a dad per se but to have kids who carried on his genes, and decided the best way to do this was through a marriage that would be seen as respectable (vs elon's surrogate grossness) and with a woman whose own genes would contribute intelligence and decent looks
-- he looks shockingly old and bad in the new nespresso ads with eva longoria

He had a formal education including several years of college but didn’t graduate.

I challenge anyone criticizing a celebrity’s looks to post pics of themselves.

I do not have a high opinion of actors, in general. The fact that he decided to meddle into who should be our presidential candidate, the audacity of an actor to think he has any right to get involved in it makes me mad. The fact that possibly Obama and high-ranked democratic party members listened and might have met with him, don't get me started, that is not the topic here.

He made movies, those Ocean 11 something, about a bunch of guys being so cool and stealing while being so savvy. It does not strike me as someone intellectual; he just looks like Clark Gable and is cool. I never understood what the attraction was, physically or intellectually. He does not come out as dumb as Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt, per se, because he sounds polished, an American posh version, shall we say. I don't know which one of his movies has made an impact on me. He does have some political movies that are ok, either as a producer or director.
He is an actor, director, and producer, but he is also an American assassin and a double thief in many of them. I will say the one movie of his I like, and only a few scenes, is the one about Jedi in the military. For that reason alone, I will take back my insipid comment. It took wit to come up with that, and with Obi-Wan next to him. That is legit funny for us Star Wars fans. (not fans of the new movies.)

I read an interview where they said a nanny brings in the kids to see them for a set amount of time each morning, and then whisks them away.

I believe it. Both are very busy and neither one seems like they care enough to be super hands on when they do have time. A very stereotypical rich workaholic family dynamic.

+1 and that’s not a bad thing, it’s a season of life.

That’s a whole lot of assumptions you’re making based on… not very much evidence.
