NO! WHY? Today is the day to cry from the rooftops that Trump just made every person in America - except himself - poorer!

I'm in comms and hitting my head against a wall. This is why Dems always lose.

And maybe we deserve it if this is how poorly we understand how to talk to people!

I feel so incredibly angry about this. Not that it's the thing that'll ruin our midterm chances or anything - but just how incredibly BAD our side is at this, which is arguably the most important part of politics: being able to talk to people. It's what Biden was worst at - good president, fatally bad communicator. And apparently all the rest of them, too.

They aren't bad at messaging or comms. This is who they are. They are showing you exactly who they are.

Agree.

OP, stop being a knee jerk reactionary.

I totally disagree. Selective tariffs/subsidies are totally the problem. They warp the markets. Just like allowing immigration in specific economic sectors. You end up with all the capitalists investing in those few areas, rather than more broadly and you get financial bubbles, when the "artificial" productivity is removed.

Across the board tariffs are the right thing to do, here because we want broader economic change in manufacturing. Not just EVs or Chips.

This, this, this!! Dems had a golden opportunity but squandered it. Even AOC hasn’t posted anything in days.

Then post that on his own social media, not all Democrats. They need to hire Anat Shankar-Osario AND take her advice.

Right! That's for the slave labor in other countries to do.

Bipartisan support for tariffs is much preferable to a one-man show. This is thinking long term.

They are setting up a rapid fire office to counter the lies, so I guess that is something

What’s your point?

It doesn’t matter what any democrats do as long as Fox and Washington Times etc are so blatantly corrupt. MAGA is in an impervious bubble of propaganda. Washington Times and Fox are barely even covering the stock market but they are running non stop headlines against democrats by the minute.

Canada, under Justin Trudeau’s leadership, decided on its own to tariff China over electric vehicles.

LAST OCTOBER.

Let that sink in. Before the election; before there was a t-rump administration, Canada started tariff’ing all on its own last Fall.

Trump did not invent tariffs.

I hear the meat processing plants in the Midwest need workers with the immigration crackdowns. Your family should move there and start processing chickens or you should STFU criticizing people who aspire for their kids to be more than menial laborers.
