Trans people are people. Period. Where reasonable people can disagree, IMO, is over whether a trans woman should be allowed to compete in women's sports if she still benefits from male hormones and the resulting muscle, etc. There could be actual physical standards in competitive sports that address ability and not gender. |
Trans rights are human rights, and some principles are more important than winning elections with the help of bigoted voters. |
No one of any significance thinks biological males should be allowed to compete in women's sports. This narrative is made up MAGA bull shite. |
The NCAA just banned all but CIS gender women from competing in women's sports. I think this is too far. I think it should more related to hormone suppression, like it used to be. |
Or just let Trump destroy them? |
Or to elaborate more on my first post, I don't care about gender identification on passports and other IDs, or who uses what bathrooms. Those are human rights to me. Competitive sports are a want, not a right, and we can't all compete. Usually for a lack of ability, but in some cases there may people with far too much abiilty because of testosterone. That's all. |
Ok, but you aren't anyone of significance. Stop feeding the MAGA propaganda. |
+1 Missouri, 34 dead from tornado? |
According to the previous poster, you are no-one any any significance. You are alone among Democrats (except all Dem US Senators). |
Bigoted Republicans don’t agree that previously male transwomen should be allowed in girls’ bathrooms. |
Dem Senators don't want men competing in women's sports either. Go crawl under your MAGA rock. |
Dear lord, stop being baited with dumb debates about trans women in sports. No one really cares.
It’s a distraction from actual women’s rights issues, like access to healthcare. I care much more about that than wherever the eff policy the NCAA implements. This is how we lost women guys. |
Should far right wing parents be allowed to prevent their trans kids from accessing gender affirming care? |
Absolutely. They are the parents. |
Or do they? https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna194623 |
