This Op. I get it. I don’t like protein powder either, and I’ve tried many (flavored and unflavored). Plus many are high in heavy metals, even the organic. I also don’t love meat, at least not 3x per day- that isn’t happening. You just have to figure out how to eat real food with protein. I eat a lot of quinoa, chia seed puddings/yogurt, Greek yogurt, Parmesan cheese, tofu, fish, beans, lentils, eggs, nuts and seeds. Another trick is to use liquid egg whites. They are pasteurized and safe to consume raw. I know, sounds disgusting. But if you blend a little into smoothie is is totally undetectable. Or mix into oatmeal as it’s cooking, or add into pancake mix, or a frittata/quiche (in place of some of the whole eggs) |
You have to find a flavor you like. I do Huel coffee flavor in an iced coffee almond milk latte.
|
I mix my powder with 1 cup milk and 1 cup iced coffee. I need to use a lot of liquid to get the flavor right. |
Eat chicken. The protein fad is just that, a fad. |
I make proats (protein oatmeal).
-3/4c quick cook oats in a bowl & 3/8c water -microwave for 1:30 -add 1-2T of peanut butter and mix -add protein powder and mix together with a splash of milk -add a drizzle of honey and some shakes of cinnamon and top with fruit I eat some variety of this every morning, and it keeps me full for hours. |
I actually love this and would happily eat it as a treat. I use a vanilla ice cream flavored protein powder, frozen mixed fruit from Target (either the cherry berry blend or pineapple strawberry) and blend it with some almond milk, and sometimes some tart cherry juice which is supposed to help inflamation |
I use the Vital Proteins Strawberry flavor and really like it. I make tropical fruit smoothies in the morning and add it and IMO they are delicious. Just tropical fruit blend, a little bit of pineapple juice, water, protein powder...its great. |
