Is it time for a 3rd party?

Anonymous
Peeling people off to a third party just guarantees Republicans more strength.

The only way there can be a third party on the left is for there to also be a third party on the right. Many on the right want this but though crazy they are not stupid enough to not realize they still need coalition with the rest of the right.

Didn’t the 2 party system just do that?

RFK may have made Trumps win possible. Third party candidate.

Pretty sure it was the very unpopular incumbent backing out of the race 3 months before Election Day that made it possible for an otherwise weak opponent in Trump to win.

A party for Dems who are sick of the trans-craziness, the constant racializing everything, and knee-jerk opposition. But who still think the GOP is a dumpster fire.

Those people definitely need a new party.

Why do you even post your insanity here? Go back to stormfront or Fox News. The dems problem is the “moderates” and “centrist”. The reason the dems lost was because of Israel. The same Israel RWNJs that stabbed Biden and ten US in the back.

F’ off. I’m a centrist, blue-collar parents, union Democrat. I’m not down with your Israel-hating garbage rhetoric, which is hella hypocritical for you to bring up nazis, because your Jew-hating fits right in with them. You’re exactly who I think of when I say the LWNJ’s who are dragging our party down. You. Go be a socialist weirdo with your Bernie Bros and trans guys trying to use women’s locker rooms. That’s not my Democratic Party.

Nonsense. There are lots of republicans who would vote for a conservative Dem if they were offered an alternative to Trump.

A Jim Webb-like candidate could easily steal half the party from Trump.

Advocate in your state for proportional Electoral College vote. Don’t just vote down the line but choose the best candidate for each position. Increase knowledge about the candidates. Require term limits in Congress.

MAGA is the third party.
Small r republicans are dead. If anything we need a new Republican Party that looks like the old one. Not this batsh*t one

Explain the difference between MAGA’s and republicans. Because I truly don’t see it. Their Venn Diagrams are a circle.

If there is a difference, it would be that a MAGA Republican actually supports the idea of Trump being the best option for POTUS- a true Trump supporter. A normal Republican would be someone that may vote for Trump as their perceived lesser of two evils but does not support the notion of Trump being anywhere near the best person for the job.

3rd party is not viable in the US winner takes it all system. Until we have a parlimentary system with proportional representation, it wouldn't win any power.

We will remain a two party system as long as the very powerful, wealthy, and awful two parties we have are in still power. They get to set the rules and they'll continue to make it harder and harder for their power to be challenged in any matter. A true uni-party in this regard.

But OP is asking fir a socially progressive party.

I feel like at this time it can gain momentum. Maybe something more centrist but on the socially progressive side.

Or, maybe it's time for you to stop looking at the tax payer as an endless well.

How about them apples?

No, it’s time to make room for more diversity of thought in the Democratic Party so people who aren’t wanting to go whole hog on super lefty talking points feel welcome.

Pretty sure it wasn't "super lefty talking points" that thought it was wise to nominate 78 year old Joe Biden in 2020. Take Biden out of the 2020 equation and replace him with a normal candidate and there is no Trump second term and all of this talking point and messaging hullabaloo wouldn't be necessary.

Literally how Bill Clinton the Blue Dog was elected.
