What leftie insanity controls the party? Schumer? Jeffries? Pelosi? Harris? Who are these lefty leaders that have wacko views? |
Jill Stein? |

We just had this thread. Trump was independent who won the Republicans into his coalition.
Third parties with 5pct of the vote spoil elections. Third party isn't a magical panaceas. |
Ross Perot screwed over the Republicans twice. Perfect case that exemplifies that 3rd parties don't work in the American system. 3rd parties are a grift for the party elite who live off the funds (see: Jill Stein, WFP in NY, etc.) |
Mathematically, it is unlikely that a third party of significant size could develop in the U.S., as explained by "Duverger's Law": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duverger%27s_law#:~:text=In%20political%20science%2C%20Duverger's%20law,main%20parties%20tend%20to%20emerge. |
Our two party system worked fairly well for over 200 years because we had at least one of the two major parties functioning at an acceptable level at all times. Now that both major parties are in a failing state of dysfunction, we hear the yearning for a 3rd party frequently. The sad thing is, our current major parties have preserved their power by putting rules into place that make it extremely difficult for 3rd parties to make a splash on the state and federal levels. For that reason, I think our best bet is to pray for significant reform, new leadership to step up, or just one elite leader to emerge by 2028. We can't afford to go through another election cycle with the Trump/Biden garbage on the table. |
Why do you even post your insanity here? Go back to stormfront or Fox News. The dems problem is the “moderates” and “centrist”. The reason the dems lost was because of Israel. The same Israel RWNJs that stabbed Biden and ten US in the back. |
I missed the first thread but the bolded is true. |
The Dems have a better chance at operating with a clean slate in 2028 than does the GOP due to the Trump influence still being a factor in the short term. I'm confident the Dems can produce a legitimate nominee in 2028 if the DNC and their wealthy donors step back and allow for an open and fair primary. No more behind the scenes manipulation that eliminates everyone except for the mega donor preferred nominee. The opportunity is there for the Dem Party to give government and country back to the American people in 2028. Will the party rise to the occasion or continue to play down to level of their competition? We'll see. |
| A 3rd party has never won a presidential election. They have to start local and grow and hope to become one of the two parties one day, but that won't happen if you just have grifters like Stein who pop up once every four years. |
I'm in. |
Is it time? More like long overdue. Where have you been for decades? Oh right engrossed in Keeping up with the Kardashians like rest of the great US of A. |
Lol. Dems lost because they were duped into nominating the mega donors choice, Biden, in 2020. If Dems had nominated a normal candidate in 2020 that wouldn't have presented the unfitness problem in 2024, there would have been no Trump second term. The GOP made it very easy for the Dems to win in 2020 and 2024 by nominating Trump. The Dems simply didn't take advantage of the easy 2020/2024 sweep. No need to overthink things. We just need a normal, people chosen nominee in 2028. |
DP. LOL. American voter breakdown (2022): 36% moderate 37% conservative 25% liberal And you think that moving LEFT is the way to win? The math doesn't support your argument. |
RFK may have made Trumps win possible. Third party candidate. |
