I’m in Del Ray and everyone said this about Vance. At least he’s finally moved and I can get around easier.

I live in Del Ray also and there was barely any impact on my ability to get around. I had the new administration but let's not be dramatic.

I’m not dramatic, seems like you read it wrong. Calm down. It definitely made my trips to UPS and south block a pain but otherwise I didn’t care. I’m not one of the ones who went crazy with knit b@mbing street signs or taking chalk to the street blocks. OP needs a reality check.

He may not be at the administration very long knowing Trump's track record...

You'll be fine. I lived by Petraeus when his whole scandal went down. His security guys were hot and fun to try to flirt with, I'd run into them at Starbucks.

Maybe put up a "Hate has no home here."

or another popular sign

"In this house we support.....

Blinken was really an unusual situation I think that the protesters were so many and lasted so long and disrupted the commutes of so many. With this admin, there’s simply so many reprehensible people, any protesters will be spread thin and not be bothersome to you. (I lived across a small cul de sac from ss protection a couple admins ago).

I have been concerned about safety since I found out, but now I hear they are getting Secret Service protection. This person is very anti-social and doesn’t speak with any of us, so we don’t even have an open line of communication to ask more questions. Im primarily concerned about violence, but also worried this person’s presence may attract protesters similar to the ones outside of Tony Blinken’s house. Is there anything we can do?

Well, he's obviously not that reviled, because the majority of Americans voted his party into office.

I have an idea OP. Why don't you go knock on the door with a plate of cookies or a pumpkin bread? Assuming you know how to cook, of course.

Oh but I’d be certain to instruct my kids to never ever set foot on the property or even around the cars as parked on the street. I’m sure they think little of shooting a perceived threat.

Do not approach the house!

My neighbor was Ted Cruz in Houston. Remember the Great Freeze when he went to Mexico and the news reporters swarmed his house. Yeah, it made my life miserable. Add to that the helicopters overhead. Plus, no one in the neighborhood likes him. He lives in the bluest neighborhood in the state. My point is, there is nothing you can do. I'm sorry you are going through this. I guess you can move?

Awww, the liberal is afraid of people protesting.

You lefty wingnuts keep racking up the hypocrisies!

My sister and her kids lived a block from Obama's vacay house in Hawaii. No one in the neighborhood could stand him when he came to visit.

Flying Ted Cruz...lol...that was one of the most tone deaf things he's done from a huge list.

It’s almost certainly not going to be an issue for you at all.

If anything, having someone in a car out front all the time probably makes your house a teeny bit safer from nuisance crime.

But you might not even notice.

But that was a very brief period, no? There aren’t reporters outside Ted Cruz’s house in a regular week.

So that could happen if anyone on your street became briefly sensational.
