Safety of neighbors with Secret Service?

I walk past Steve Banon’s place almost every day. He doesn’t have Secret Service protection and it probably chilling in Hungary half the time (when not in jail) but I’ve literally never seen anything out of the ordinary. More generally those of us on the Hill just deal with a lot of security stuff and it’s fine although periodically annoying.

Many Trump appointees or staffers don't last long so maybe they will be gone soon. Gone as in no longer in the administration, not taken out by a hit.

There is nothing you can do. The Secret Service will make sure your local laws re protests are followed/enforced. Enjoy the extra security. You won’t get burgled for the next few years.

Probably won’t last the full 4 years in the admin. Otherwise just enjoy it. We’ve had neighbors w/ sec service multiple times and love it. Think of it as free security for your house. Otherwise, other than losing some parking, you won’t even know they’re there.

I’m sorry people are mocking you OP, I would feel alarmed as well. My town is home to a lesser known family member of an extremely reviled person. Serious threats have already occurred. My expectations generally are that we will see increased violence. Today’s secret service cares much less about protecting bystanders and protesters may resort to violence. People are going to attack this comment, but I don’t think it’s out of line to consider moving. I guess you have to weigh where you can be safer or feel safer. I would hate the *feeling* of seeing armed security next door as well.
