Why not? Nearly everything they need is accessible through FOIA. Not to mention, there is basically no federal law preventing the President or agency head from voluntarily disclosing anything at all. |
There actually are laws preventing this. Whether Trump wants to follow them or not is up to him and given his immunity, I'm sure he'll push all the limits he can. However, on the PII information, there is definitely a limit on what can be shared with people without proper clearances or a need for the data. |

I guess we will see. Saw this on X last night:
• The CBO revealed at least 1,264 federal programs and bureaus have expired authorizations, but they still received $516B in funding for FY2024 • The Government Accountability Office estimates the federal government wastes $247B in taxpayer money each year • The Department of the Treasury reported $24.5B in "unreconciled transactions" in the past meaning it spent ~$25B on unknown items • Department of Agriculture employees misused government issued credit cards spending millions on personal purchases like concert tickets, tattoos, lingerie and car payments • $33.2M was spent on transgender monkey research • The NIH spent part of a $2.7M grant to study Russian cats walking on a treadmill • The DoD ruined $170M of military equipment by leaving it outside • The US Agency for International Development spent $6M to promote tourism in Egypt • The SBA gave over $200M to music artists like Post Malone, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne through the Covid Paycheck Protection Program • The US military bought soap dispensers for aircraft at over 80 times the commercial price |
| Will they be revisiting who received forgiven business “loans” during COVID? |
That was during a period with almost no inflation despite prolonged low interest rates. Times have changed dramatically. |
My guess is he selected 2 people neither of whom is known for teamwork to pit them against each other. Classic narcissist move. |
You saw it on X! That’s better than seeing it in person. How about original sources? |
| We don't trust out institutions anymore, but we do trust Elonia and X! |
Are we supposed to ignore the recession he inherited? |
You saw this on X so it must be true. Could you tell us who owns X? |
I am joking, yes. Not sure about PP. |
This, exactly. If they aren't going to divest and become government employees then they can't access useful data and they also cannot 'gift' the report. I'm sure they can act like a think tank or something and do some report with public info, but that's basically useless. Odds are that Elonia and Vivek will start fighting within moments and nothing will happen. |
This is playing out just like that charming scene with the President and his Cabinet in the movie Dave. |
One of the biggest programs with an expired authorization is Veterans Health. Look forward to seeing that zeroed out. Folks, someone's waste is another person's income. It's just really hard to cut spending. A program is funded, an interest group is forever established. |
Ok I just looked up a few of these allegations and I’m only seeing 200k on transgender monkey research (which I actually agree is cruel based on what I read online, but is nowhere near 33M). Not sure if the musicians used the SBA loans to (hopefully) pay venue workers during shut downs, but also it was during Trump that we had PPP loans and I’m guessing there are some Republican pockets that took part in applying for money. Re: the NIH Russia funding, it was Biden who cut that off. If you want to more closely monitor funding for DOD military equipment great. I don’t know many dems who would object to less funding there. The Dept of Agriculture credit card fraud literally dates back to 2003. Why are we citing a few employees’ misconduct (which was caught) under the Bush Administration as a basis for creating a Billionaire shadow government in 2025? |
