This new agency is so efficient they selected 2 people to run it!

Thank you for making me break out laughing, which I haven’t done in 8 days.

Perfectly put!

Wouldn't they need to divest in order to part of a government agency?

This is just more smoke for the base. It's what Trump always does -- say outlandish stuff, promise the moon, and then not deliver. Oh, they'll probably do two tiny things that they can use for headlines, but I doubt they even need to do that. They can just lie and say it happened, because their base will believe it.

it's not a new government agency. Guessing the funding isn't coming from government. So maybe someone with a X account can ask him directly where he funding to run DOGE is coming from.

Pretty sure then that they can't access....oh....records or data to figure out what's wasteful. It's just another garbage "report" to keep E/V busy, since Elon seems to want to pretend play that's he's actually the president.

I think agency leads figure out a way to keep top performers in this scenario. This isn't the first presidency to halt pay increases. So, sure a certain percentage will leave (certainly I think a lot of attorneys, esp in finreg space) but there are so many Feds in the GS 14 and under and so many superfluous positions even in the finregs, where you wont see attrition because for these folks, getting a job in the private sector is a pretty hard threshold.

+1. Despite someone saying feds would flee to FAANGs it’s not like there is a 1:1 job equivalency.

Sure DJT will let them go after some low hanging fruit - programs no longer in existence but still funded etc - to show Maga how much he saved. But I don’t think this results in the massive - dump half the Feds - changes that Maga is cheering for that Feds obviously fear.

Partly joke and showboat, partly grift to obtain government data or contracts.

So much ignorance. You can have all the great ideas to “increase efficiency” you want, but you still need someone (actually an army) to IMPLEMENT them. Or are those two going to do it by themselves across the entire government?

Unless they’re merely talking about cutting pay raises. How creative.

Exactly. Everything coming out of the Trump administration should be considered true at all times, because there has been no prior evidence of lying or overblown promises from this group. Yes.

No divestment b/c they aren't officially part of a gov't agency. They'll essentially be consulting.

Delta Regional Authority

Denali Commission

Institute of Museum and Library Services

Inter-American Foundation

I believe Overseas Private Investment Corporation is staffed with Kushner's buddies, so probably not that one. Even though Kushner isn't around this time, I'm guessing many of his friends are the DC swamp with the multimillion $ homes Maga hates so much.

Lol you must be joking. Maybe they really really mean it but they aren't known for their competence. And federal government isn't like Elon showing up to his own company and firing 50% of people in two seconds.

But whatever either way is fine for many - we'll stay or go.
