During menopause, levels of estrogen, an important hormone in women, naturally go down. As a result, the walls of the vagina become thin, dry, and sometimes inflamed. In many women, this leads to symptoms of vaginal burning, irritation, pain (especially during sex), bleeding, or discharge. |
sure and we all know that with male aging there are impacts on the penis … yet we don’t have the same to-do about that! |
No worries. And actually, sort of disliking someone can be a good quality in a FWB situation (so it’s clear we are nothing more than FWB) so as long as you were actually skilled in bed, I’ll allow some stupid statements. |
Of course the younger women will be like that! What works best for long term FWB is a married high-earning woman not looking to leave her marriage for multiple reasons and just wants to explore and have fun with sex. |
Ah good to know. I was clueless about that. |
Of f**k no. Why would I have a flind with a married woman. I wouldn't want another man f**g my wife. See women may not care about the "other" woman and put the blame squarely on her DH. Honestly though most men will start clear of married women because the risks are higher. Men are unpredictable and it's a risk to mess around with another man's wife. |
| I’m your age and a divorced empty nester and I met a widower at a sales conference. Long story made short we realized we had a mutual interest which quickly led to a FWB relationship. We get together every couple of weeks and that meets my need. He’s not LTR material nor am I but the sex is wonderful. |
Love seeing women thinking and acting like men |
Seriously, you're wise not to mess with married women. I know two families ruined because of affairs where the women's husbands found out and went after the AP men physically. In one case, the husband shot the AP and there was holy hell legally -- the husband ended up in jail for quite a few years, the AP was permanently affected. These were all middle-class professionals considered "good people" in their community. Just not worth risking an affair where the AP's spouse could ignore it or could end up going after you. |

Can someone explain to be what FWB implies in terms of romantic gestures ? Do you meet just to f…k or they are kind of “lighter” romantic partners? Eg taking you to restaurants, concerts giving flowers? I would not mind something lighter without any plans to move in, talk/text too much every day or joint travels . But I do need him to be nice and loving and romantic, and enjoy time with him, in order for the sex component to work .
Otherwise it just feels mechanical |
That often enough or does it just feed the flames? |
It happens every time. Most women do fall in love. |
Are men really lining up to bang 50-year olds? |
You have no evidence for that. Her husband could have walked out. He could have been cheating. He could have stolen money from her. So many options here that are not related to her breaking up the family. She also gave no indication that the person or people she sleeps with will ever be involved with her kids. Please stop exaggerating based on your own personal issues. |
| I do have a FWB ... but if our situations were different I'm sure we'd be dating/exclusive. It isn't just F and go home. We talk, we spend time. No "ILYs" or romantic gestures, although of course I wouldn't mind. But even I know it is best to keep it light. |
